I use an Amex card. In India Amex card is not accepted in 95% establishments. They accept only visa/master card. We can use mainly for online payments of Amazon etc only.

I use AmEx corporate card given by my office. In my travel to Australia, 90% of outlets declined Amex cards due to high transaction charges. In India also 30 to 40% traders decline Amex cards. So still doubtful if this is really worth taking.
