I’m Brazilian and my hair type looks really similar to yours! In my styling I use brush to separate my my hair in sections and then I scrunch, but I’m going to try this method!
Next time, while your hair is soaking wet, flip your head upside down brush it forward and then apply the product throughout and crunch. While your head is still upside down, diffuse it. That's how I do mine. Tons of volume that way.

When you used the hair grow stuff how long did it take to grow because my hair is super uneven and need it to grow but it won't .So how long did it take pls answer as soon as possible!?
I use John Frieta's Frizz Control. Do y'all think that I could use it for this hairstyle? I also use No-Poo Shampoo and Conditioner. Like this if you think that I can and dislike if you don't.
Can you tell me how long it took you to style this way? Just applying the product, not including dry time. Also, how long do you air dry before you diffuse?
The whole process takes me about 15-20 minutes, to including the diffuse time. I try to air dry for at least 30 minutes if I'm not in a rush, otherwise I get straight to diffusing lol. Recently I've been just air drying because I have no time and then fluff it about 3 hours later when it's dry.
I know with the DevaCurl line they use those clips to use at the root of your hair while it's drying so that it creates more volume. Have you tried that? Also, diffusing allows my hair to get more volume than air drying would. Hope this helps!
so this is an open comment and I'd love any feedback anyone can give me: i don't know what my healthy, natural hair looks like. i was reprimanded for not brushing my hair and then reprimanded again when it would get big, as curly hair does when brushed. as soon as i knew what straightening was, i did it. my hair wants to curl. it wants to be 3a/b. but its damaged, and parts are 2c, parts are 3a, parts are 3b, and some are totally straight. I've tried deep conditioning/co-washing. my hair is down to my hips and as much as i dont want to cut it, would cutting it be best for my hair? i know it'll grow back fast, but should i do the big chop, and if i do, will it make it healthier/curlier?
I didn't want to do the big chop because my head is too big for short hair lol. So I just did trims! I would recommend doing those trims with the protein treatments too. Just be patient! :)
Soraya Johnson honestly, it’s a process of trying different products to see what your hair likes! I started with DevaCurl products when I was transitioning! But I’ve tried A LOT of products - and shrinkage is normal :)
I dont like how the leave in conditioner makes my hair feel? Like extra greasy or something. I sometimes use the deep conditioner masque as a leave in and its better. Anyone else?

I have the same curls! My problem is I have a little to no texture at my roots and my hair falls flat like if I had straight hair

Avery Williams if you really don't want to cut it off, you can try some protein treatments or just big chop your hair since it grows so quickly
