I have the sport touring. Sooo much smoother and quieter than the rav 4. Test drove both before I bought. Nothing in this segment came close.
Yes! Rav4 is a clunk 😂
Don’t say this! The Toyota fans boys feeling’s will get hurt and they will come after you! 🤣
@@CM-zl8iu 😹😹😹
So much smoother than any car, luxury or not. Like driving an electric car, but hybrid. Awesome
Not a cvt. They call it e-cvt just because it doesn't have gear changes and people are familiar with cvt working as such. The "transmission" are two electric motors. The smoothness of this car is due exactly because that reason, moved at all times by electric motors, even when the engine is engaged helping.
Great job on the video! I agree with all the points. Highlight of the video to me were your comments on safety. I bought a Hybrid Sport L and also a Hybrid Sport Touring after watching your channel last year. Great to see a positive review on things after about eighteen months. Gas mileage in colder weather is less. I get around 30 miles per gallon combined when the temperatures are below freezing.
Hey man how did you blackout the chrome window trim? It looks really good! Just got mine and I can't stand the chrome

Nice video.
I recently purchased the 2024 CR-V Hybrid Sport-L. When compared to a RAV4 in the same price point these were some of my reasons to go with the CRV Hybrid Sport-L vs the RAV4 ESX.
1. RAV4 is being redesigned and I didn't want to be in a old design a year from now.
2. Seats are leather trimmed. RAV4 has SoftTex no leather.
3. Parking sensors, the RAV4 doesn't unless you add an expensive upgrade package.
4. Qi charger. RAV4 doesn't have it unless you add a higher tech package.
5. 8 speaker sound system - RAV4 only 6 unless you upgrade to the higher tech package.
6. Power Passenger Seat. Not in RAV4 unless you add a higher tech package.
Is there a window shade you recommend? So close to tinting the front window
I got 3M Ceramic IR tint on the front and sides.
%wise I went max legal amount.
I have a 23 EX and agree completely.
Agree to all of the points 100%. Been enjoying my sport touring hybrid for the last 7-8 months thoroughly.
Awesome to hear!
I admit I haven't watched the whole video, but how did you get the red seats? I love them! As far as I know that was never an option for the CR-V.
I love them too! The red seats are a custom made seat cover. Fits very exact. I have a video on them in my channel!
OK.... I own the '23 Sport Touring Hybrid. This would be my 3rd CR-V. Honda makes a great vehicle in theory, and that's why I've owned so many. However, there are always things Honda conveniently leaves out, that twist up the loyal Honda customers. No Homelink garage door opener ($350, took 4 months to get the new mirror that has it). No cargo cover. (They were included with all my other CR-V's. I don't know where yours came from!) The dealership swears that the seats are leather. The screen is less than most other competitors, and firmware updates are all but non existent. The charging pad for the phone is wonky, at best. Wireless CarPlay has glitchy software that at times, needs a restart. It's good to have the onboard GPS (actually uses satellites), because the mobile phone people are not always that reliable, and towers are sometimes sparse. This thing has paddle shifters!! What the hell do I need with paddle shifters??!! (and, I did confirm that they are paddle shifters, and not some way to just invoke the charging system. The braking does that) This is a hybrid, not a Ferrari! And finally, there is NO SPARE TIRE!! I didn't find this out until I I watched another TH-cam video that concerned this. I have achieved 42.5 MPG during the summer, playing with it. In the colder weather, you will get more like 34-36 MPG. Thanks for the video!
I have a 2024 Sport and I very happy with it. I wish I had gone with the Sport Touring but still happy with it.
What features would you say you would like from the touring?
My one gripe was the Adaptive Cruise Control…but maybe I need to adjust the distance between the cars. I thought the car takes to long to slow down and almost feels like it’s about to slam into another vehicle.
If the cars are far away. And you’re going fast. Yes that can happen As the radar only goes so far.
I have 2 of these. They are by far the best ride and value of any vehicle I’ve driven. I do hear a new RAV4 is coming by the end of 2024.
2 ! Nice
Best car ever 🔥 everyone loves being a passenger in my CRV
Yess. Always “best car for a roadtrip “ comments
Considering how big this SUV is, and the fact that it's AWD. The gas mileage is very impressive!!👍🏾
Definitely! Nothing this size gets that MPG
Bro how did you reach 36 average fuel? The most I do is 30 then go backwards, I do not speed so I’m wondering what am I doing wrong any recommendations? Thanks in advance
Do you live in a cold area? I think the biggest factor is acceleration. 36 isn’t even that good. I can do 40 when im driving like a grandpa.
30 is really low. Id get it checked out
@@UCversace I live in Florida and I drive like a grandpa to be honest, current 11 k miles on my 2023 hybrid, so do you think I have to take it to the dealership?
@@L0KiT086 yea if your avg is 30mpg after 11 k miles. Somethings up! Try a different gas station maybe. Chevron. 30 is way too low. Florida is flat. Should be closer to 40
@@UCversace got it thanks my man 👍👍
do you live in a hilly area?
I have a 2023 Sport Touring in black, and I love the car.
But this is my opinion positive about the car: space, smooth drive, quiet, mileage is good. Exterior looks great, interior is ok.
Negative, in my opinion: sticky steering, middle where the shifting is, looks cheap, for the price ventilated seats shifting be included for the front, back should have heating in touring. The passenger seat is not really adjustable. HUD..... i love the car, but... in the price range, Honda needs to offer more ...
What are your oil change intervals?
Every 5k miles. Done it 4 times already
@@UCversace Good for you. I did them every 7k miles. One time I did it at 8.5k miles. Don't do what I did. I had an engine misfire recently and one of my cylinders cracked. Expensive new engine and labor was $10,000. Don't do what I did. I read that hybrid vehicles don't need 5k oil changes since the internal combustion engine is only used about 40-60% of the time. Guess I was dead wrong.
@@jeschr3462 hollyyy mollyyy. On a 2023+ model?
@@UCversace yes, 2023. I used it for package/food delivery part time so I racked up a lot of miles but still, I did a colossal mistake by changing the oil every 7k to 8k miles. I thought it would be okay because its a hybrid.
@@UCversace I would be cautious if I were you guys. I strongly doubt a Toyota would have had an engine misfire and cracked cylinders even with 7k to 10k oil changes. It likely would have gone bad around the 110k mile mark if that was the case. I can't say for others but mine went out at less than half of that. Just be on time with your oil changes and hope for the best. Btw I read online that I am not the only person having these catastrophic engine failures for the 23 crv hybrid.
Topgun #1 🥇
Are the red seats from the factory?
No. Aftermarket
Please, please, please - stop saying it has a CVT (eCVT) transmission. It does NOT. The only versions of the CRV that use the CVT transmission are the non-hybrid versions.
You produce a good review and video and spoil it by demonstrating your lack of knowledge about the vehicle.
I know it’s an Electrically variable-speed automatic. Honda calls it a eCVT in the manual. It still drones like a CVT at steep uphill drives.
Im keeping it in laymens terms for the people. It’s its own thing, and not easy to understand as a CVT.
Im not a mechanic or car engineer. Just an owner review. The point wasn’t to detail the transmission specifics, but to comment on the sound.
Thanks for the comment. Ill update in future videos.
The simplicity of the 1.5 online engine with the turbo will outlast and be far less expensive maintenance and repairs in the long run than the hybrid modle with it's many complex main and sub assemblies.
Hybrid models will see much longer life out of a set of brakes because of regenerative braking.
But the smoothness of the hybrid can't be beat
Sticky steering recall? How many 22-24s are waiting for new steering gears? That and no spare I’m buying a low mile 21 touring
I think it’s less than
What will they change in 2025?
Not much most likely. Honda usually has a 4-5 year cycle.
Most likely minor equipment shuffling between trims or a color gets dropped or another gets added. Their refreshes tend to happen in the 4th year of a five year cycle.
bigger screen
@@juanfersan I hope so. When?
Loved the CRV, but I just switched over to Tesla 🥳
Noooo haha. You’ll be back ;). I dont even take my tesla out of the garage anymore.
Lol why not? it’s so fun to drive!
not a CVT
E-cvt
@@UCversace Not sure why they call it that, it has two physical gears, nothing "continuously variable" about the transmission.
@@mitchellc2723 yea idk haha. Would have helped them naming it something else given the stigma of cvts
CR-V’s are good cars, but that one is drab and boring looking. That gray color with black wheels is far from attractive. Gonna turn you loose. 👎🏻
Lol what are you talking about. Its one of the most attractive cars available.
Sorry no panoramic roof ,no spare tire, mileage is worse than RAV4 -even before redesign RAV4 hands down
Mileage is better than the Rav4. Rav gets 34. We have one.
