I only have about 65ish physical books, but I have read about 41 of them which is around 60%(a little over). I have a rule that only when about 75% of my current collection has been read can I purchase more manga to add to the pile. I try not to purchase an entire run of a series before reading any/all at once as well just to avoid falling off a series too early and getting stuck with a bunch of books I won't end up reading. I usually give a series a 3 volume trial run and then decide if I want to continue with it or not, usually I feel like that is a long enough run to really establish some story and direction and is enough content to give me a feel for if I really want to keep reading. Sometimes there are exceptions to this rule, especially if I blow through the trial period incredibly quickly. Spy x Family and Sakamoto Days were probably the two where I got so invested I just said fuck it and bought them outright. Outside of that though I try and stick to my boundaries as much as possible, and doing so has helped me keep a smaller but more refined collection for sure. I found using a spreadsheet was really helpful for all this as well, as it really makes the data of one's collection clear and definitely helps with making more informed purchasing decisions etc.
I am a huge merch collector but when I’m older I wanna collect manga when I have the money and space. Are we counting light novels? I assume not but I have all the mha school briefs that I’ve read 2/6 of. And as far as manga goes I have 2 mha team up mission books,ha volume 34, and apothecary diaries manga book1. Which I have read all of. So I’ve read 4/4 of my manga collection and including LNS 6/10. I pick up on mha after s5 tho online and have finished it. I’ve picked up on demon slayer after s3 online and read it twice and read a couple of jjk manga chapters such as 1-50 before I saw the anime and then read towards the finale.

Bleach TYBW and then just a couple miscellaneous volumes. I read some online but I’m more into anime so I watch stuff rather than read it now, except when I read online
Do not finish Demon Slayer my guy. I binge read DS after the Mugen Train movie came out and just remember being so dissapointed with the art style. It's EXTREMELY lazy and inconsistent. At least with HxH it's a stylistic choice, with DS the mangaka can barely draw a character without the legs looking like mutilated baby carrots. The anime is MILES better than the manga, so just watch it as it comes out
The mangaka did become quite ill halfway through the series so it was quite lazily done from then on. It’s a shame as I believe if the mangaka was healthy, the series could have so much more potential, storyline and art style wise. I definitely felt it was pretty rushed towards the end but perhaps some fan will come in clutch one day and rewrite/draw it but a lot better and at a good pace. I only really finished it because I don’t like inconsistency in reading series and such, it’s like once I start if haunts me if I don’t finish it lol.

I only really finished it because I don’t like inconsistency in reading series and such, it’s like once I start if haunts me if I don’t finish it lol.
@@JustOneMorePage. I started reading Silver Spoon and stopped after volume 3. The series still sits on my shelf to this day and stares me in the face waiting for me to finish it
If you saw JJK Season 2 you'd be very disappointed
It also has one of the most mediocre story's I've ever read, easily the worst thing in my collection. Definitely regret dropping 200$
@@Liberandum_Agreed. i gave my volumes to a friend who was interested
lol funny video as always teniz you should update it to now and see how much you have read probably not. a lot more lol
every manga i buy, i read. To me it doesnt really make sense buying a book and leaving it on a shelf at home. I feel bad if I don't read it. I think I have around 170 mangas by now
You are the chosen one, you have the ability to achieve things us mortals never could. I’m going to try to read through everything I have but there is some series I just don’t have interest in touching
Now 181, collection growing fast 🎉
I'm the opposite whenever I get volumes I nstantly read them in a day then wait to buy more.

MY TOP 4 MANGA:
- KINGDOM
- BERSERK
- VINLAND SAGA
- VAGABOND
What’s the exact order though?
@@Teniz These Top 4 are my favorites all the time and there is no order which one is better than the others. I personally think these 4 best on their own timelines just like every countries have their own culture they grew up and how it shaped them such as
- KINGDOM (Historical fiction- ancient China around 221 BCE);
- VINLAND SAGA (Historical fiction- Europe in Viking age 8th - 11th century);
- VAGABOND (Historical fiction-Feudal Japan during historical samurai in 17th century );
- BERSERK (Dark fantasy- fictional world and supernatural elements).
I’ve read like 10%😊
