  • The guys and I hit up Redbird SRA Jeep Badge of Honor Trails 2X, 3, 3X and 5 over the weekend. Our Jeeps were put to the test during the filming of this event including broken axles, ujoints, differentials, wheel lugs among other broken parts.

      That entire place is a mud pit. Should rename it to Mud Bird LOL! Thanks for the comment.

    Y’all look like you are running full pressure in your tires! Let some air out. Big difference, and it makes for a significantly smoother ride.

      Agreed. This was back before I had beadlocks and I had several debeading issues when I went below 15 PSI. On beadlocks now so I’m usually aired down in the single digits.

    We must have just missed you guys! March 30th was our last day down there. We're from the ludington Michigan area. There was a pretty gnarly section on 2x that was a ton of fun but it managed to rip off my license plate on my JK, haha.

      Dang yeah we arrived April 1st. 2X destroyed my buddies axle shaft. I broke my JKU license plate on a few trips back. Replaced it with the curved license plate bracket from Rustys off-road. Thanks for the comment and I’ll see ya out there. ✌🏻

      I need to get back down that way sometime this year. Also have been looking to try Haspin Acres in Indiana. Have you been to that one?

    I have been in the mud like that before. DO NOT LIKE. 😅😂 sideways is not my way.

      Good ole Mud Bird 🤣 that place is definitely a place where winches should be required. A lot of the trails become impossible after rain.

    About 3 mths ago right after the snow melted here in Indiana.. I took a stock jeep renegade trailhawk with stock tires down red bird.. I made it to where the main trail turns right in front of the gaurd rail.. What would you say about a mile.. It was very muddy.. I turned around cause I was by myself and didn't want to get into trouble cause I didn't know how bad the trail was going to get..
    So how far or which trail do you have to do to get a badge of honor?
    By the way I only live about an hr and half or so from red bird.. I usually go up to bad lands.. I can make it all the way out to the rock pit with the same jeep.. With out rubbing or anything.. If you don't know this about the renegade you can lock front and rear..

    • @TrailExpedition
      @TrailExpedition  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don’t know much about the renegade and did not realize it had lockers. With lockers, on a dry day, you could probably do most of Redbird with the exception of 2X. That trail is crazy difficult and we only made it halfway through. They have trail maps and the badge trails are adequately marked. I would definitely invest in good recovery gear as we used our winches A LOT! Also, do not attempt it alone. You will get stuck. 😆

    Red jeep driver better learn to keep his hands and arms inside the jeep.... that'll ruin your day faster than broken jeep parts...
