- Ever wonder what TF2 would be like if the entire game was composed of Windows 98? No you probably haven't, but here's this video anyway.
Never did I ever imagine when I made this silly thing all those years back that it would gain such attention and be labeled as a "classic." Thank you so much.
I'm sure you noticed that a lot of the error sounds and pop-ups were not actually from Windows 98. Well, I done goofed there. Oh well.

As someone who had the "joy" of gaming using windows 98 back when I was 18 I can tell you that this is pretty much what happened 90% of the time. It got to the point where I only played games that ran on Windows 95 because 98 was more hassle then it was worth. I still say that Windows XP was the best OS that Microsoft which isn't saying much as most of them have been absolute garbage that charge you money to inconvenience you as much as possible.
I think you must have had Windows 98 running on just-barely-capable hardware that was only listed as adequate to appease penny-pinching enterprise customers, if that was your experience. I didn't usually have crashes even when gaming for long periods on 98. Or even the dreaded Windows Millennium.
