Another good one I have actually been to this one, I went about half way up the stairs and turned back as the wife was waiting down the bottom and I didn't know how far or how long!, but when we were there, there was a guy in a black uniform carrying a automatic rifle wondering around!! a bit of an eye opener I think he was there to keep the monkey's in line because they all took off when he appeared😆🙏
Automatic rifle? lol. I bet they took off. The chances are that you made the right choice turning back, I was surprised how deep the cave complex went tbh and it could be pretty dangerous in places without your own light source. Cheers
All I can say is wow Karl it was an amazing trip you took us on into the caves I remember all the bat poop and strange smell it had - thankyou so much for taking us on such an amazing
LOL, love the clickbait title. What a wonderful place, definitely on the list. Those Thais are so industrious. It took a lot of work getting those stairs in place. Many thanks for showing us this place.
Great work again Karl, another beautiful temple at the end, which capped it off nicely. Was that golden turtle fixed to the ground? The lads looked like they enjoyed it. will they be on the next one?
Cheers Greg, totally agree that they were great. Ant had known about the trip for a while but it was a last minute thing for John. As you'll see in the upcoming videos he put his heart and sould into everything we attempted on the trip.

Love the thumbnail.... I used to see people rock climbing at Khao Yoi but not for quite a while now. I bet your two companions' legs were ruined the next morning after two adventures in a day!
I have been to Laos quite a few times but only done one vlog from there about 18 months ago if you want to look through my back content? Actually I think I it was a pretty cool video. Would love to do more in the future
Would love to but it needs to be when I think I have something to say. I do have one idea though that I will cover when I get the time. I presume you have been through my list of old videos too? Cheers
A video doesn't do justice to the sentiment deep inside a cave. They are cool and dead silent. The contrast between the first and second could be greater. Did I mention the stairs? 😀
Hiya, I’ve started my own channel… inspired by some of you guys on TH-cam. Hopefully will get 1000 subscribers. When I move to Thailand it will be a living vlog, along with travel and life in Rural Thailand, maybe some UK content from Thai 🇹🇭 girlfriend perspective…
Those rural life vlogs seem to do well. In all honesty it’s never been my thing, they remind me of soap operas sometimes but don’t let my cynicism put you off. Like I said most of them do better than my channel. Let me know when it’s up and running and good luck.
@@karlsthailand it’s hard to be original too. I think our dynamic will be a the Thai 🇹🇭 perspective from girlfriend. Along with UK content targeting Thai viewers. I like the travel content too.
I never made it in because my friend wasn't willing to walk past the monkey 😂 I think it wasn't that, I don't think she wanted to hike up all those steps 😂
The monkeys can be pretty intimidating. Quite often they won't get out of the way unless you act with certainty that you are going through. If your friend was Thai then the aversity to walking doesn't surprise me lol. Cheers
not inspired enof to leave your own stack of rocks, i guess. i don’t see a lot of attention given to the practice, wondering if it’s specifically an interest in SE asia.
It’s certainly big here in Thailand and I have also noticed it up Bokor mountain in Cambodia. Personally, I respect the beliefs of others so long as they’re not suppressive to others but I only have one superstition myself….it’s unlucky to be superstitious. Cheers

Pretty cool. Thanks.
No problem! Thanks
Hi mate you do go to some fantastic places, think I would need a mask with that bat poo 555
Believe me I have made some videos at places where the smell of the bats was plenty worse. Cheers
This was fun and interesting and see Kalle. good job boys💪👍
Thanks Anders

My pleasure John. Your presence really added to the trip.

I had to try with the title lol. Well worth a visit and pretty easy to reach even if it does require a bit of effort to explore deeply.
wow crazyy!!!! Love this vlog Karl! Loads of bats too, I can imagine the smell. ahaha
Believe me, I know some places that are far worse Mark lol. Check out this video. Cheers th-cam.com/video/anx_r3NZLck/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NNfXg1Pwqwr41snp
Thank you Karl I do enjoy your videos
Cheers Mark
Loved this one Karl but maybe not all the steps! The cave was a bit precarious in places and the temple was beautiful! ❤
I love the way you could just enjoy the Temple and cave at the bottom or be more adventurous by exploring the other cave if you wanted to. Thanks
Wow what a great video, i would have had a panic attack down there was is cold down there, thanks for the video Karl.
Actually the climate wasn't bad at all...apart from the bits inhabited by bats lol. Cheers
Fantastic again Karl!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks
Id be in my absolute element. Looks incredible.
Im out in a couple weeks..... my itinerary keeps changing 😂 soooo much to see and do in Thailand ❤
Have fun! Remeber that it all takes time and distances between locations can be large. Cheers
Nice one Karl, more steps lol. Will put that one on the list next time down that way cheers.
It’s directly off of the main road. Take a light source if you wish to explore the larger cave rather than the one at the bottom. Cheers
Great work again Karl, another beautiful temple at the end, which capped it off nicely. Was that golden turtle fixed to the ground? The lads looked like they enjoyed it. will they be on the next one?
Yes, it was Mark. For sure the three of us still have some great adventures to come. We crammed a lot into that trip. Cheers
Nice guys, great adventure.
Cheers Utah Boy
Nice adventure 👍
Thank you 👍
great video Karl xxxxx
Thanks xxx
beautiful-this place is now on our itinerary to visit -thanks Karl
Hope you enjoy it! Unlike some places I go to the location is pretty convenient. My pleasure
I realize you're as fit as a butcher's dog, but the other lads also did well. Riveting video. It's now on my list. Nice one Karl.

My Mekong pearl never would let be go down there - she is afraid a lot of ghosts
Aren't they all scared of ghost eh AB? All you have to do is convince them that credit cards are haunted lol.

Jimmy, that night we partied in Hua Hin with a vengeance, got up at 6am the next morning, climbed up and down another hill and the drove to Krabi lol.
Have you ever gave Laos a visit? Im here now and it feels like Thailand 20 or 30 years ago. Particularly in Vang Vieng.. anything goes

Monk alway practice in the cave because cold and quiet .
Yes, the Monks are very wise people. Thank you

I’m not really a big cave fan tbh but they definitely are unique environments and this once if just difficult enough to still be fun. Cheers
Are you in south Thailand now?
No Gerard, back in Pattaya right now.

Looks a great place to drop my mother in law off Karl 😂
But she might disappear! 😂
