BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Tacos, Burritos and Cheeze Fries: Vegan Mexican Street Food by Club Mexicana.

- It's very much long overdue that we have finally caught up with these "Vegan Street Food Master's - it's funny that we've never had an opportunity to record them in our very own "chomping ground Camden" but had to wait until they'd set up for a one day event at the recent pop up at FGV Christmas Market (which was organised by the renowned "Fat Gay Vegan") at Hackney Downs Studios, London.
Unlike some well known (& lesser known) fast food restaurants and takeaways, there was no microwave, to be seen at here because thankfully everything was being freshly prepared in their open kitchen.
You know what they say; seeing is believing, so, at the start of the video you'll see the incredibly long length of the queue of people waiting patiently to get their delicious Club Mexicano fix.
The following items were on their menu on the day:
TACOS: filled with BBQ Pulled Jackfruit, Guacamole, Pink Pickled Onions, Salted Chillies, Sour Cream.
BURRITOS: filled with BBQ Pulled Jackfruit, Slow cooked Black Beans, Guacamole, Pink Pickled Onions, Salted Chillies, Sour Cream.
NACHOS: topped with Black Beans, Cheeze Sauce, Guacamole, Pink Pickled Onions, Salted Chillies, Sour Cream.
CHEEZE FRIES: Crispy Panko Bread Crumb & Beer Battered.
They do have a permanant location 7 days a week in Camden Lock Market; but they are street food "troubadour's" so if you want to know exactly where else they will be next, look out for messages of their schedule on their social media pages (or you could message them).

We must say that it's extremely refreshing to discover vendors such as this, who serve up pure vegetarian food; simply because you don't have to bother asking if their food contains egg in the ingredients etc.........because everything they serve up is 100% vegan!!!
