Please don’t go on these private tours they are ruining this wonderful country’s nature please go on the actual tour that the Sri Lankan navy holds please these private tours are killing these special species as they do not even get the breathing time they require
Please don’t go on the private trips just coz you want to save money as they can be dangerous and unsafe.

Total bullshit on budget. Been to Sri Lanka many times love the country, but things are more expensive than other south Asian countries. There’s no doubt that “budgeteers” have been less than sincere with the costs. How much of discount did you get for You tube exposure? Did you eat one meal a day? From places where the poorest locals would eat? Not a way to see the country. But a very good way to get diarrhoea and some other tropical infection.

I was bouncing around so much and ended up having to push on the roof to prevent my head banging on it all the time, was a good work out on my abs though :)

I loved when you put the camera under water so we could hear their chatter. One of the roughest rides I've recently taken was heading up to the jungle in Monteverde, Costa Rica from the coast. Unpaved, rocky, bumpy roads that seemed to go on for hours uphill. Definitely bring motion sickness pills if you go Lina!

Oh man, the no gas situation gave me mad flashbacks. I had a rental car to drive to the best sunrise spot on Easter Island and when I was almost there at around 4:00AM I realized that A) I was out of gas and B) there was only one gas station on the entire island and that gas station was on the opposite end of the island. After walking down the road in the dark early in the morning I hailed down a local driver who just happened to have a jerry can in the back. I was sure he'd sell me the gas for a crazy inflated price but he actually sold it to me at face value. (...I would have filled up the tank the night before but the only gas station in town also closes very early, so I just winged it)

try and use the services offered by the Sri Lankan Naval Corps and coast guards, they have units in places like Trinco, Mirissa and Kalpitiya dedicated to whale and dolphin watching using safe and ethical methods which don't harass cetaceans like most private tour groups do. check whalewatching.navy .lk for more info

Great episode guys. The roughest ride which I have had was the 3rd class train in Thailand from Kachanaburi to Bangkok. The train had open windows and no aircon, making the temperature of the carriage somewhere around 40 degrees. To make matters worse the train stopped in the middle of nowhere for an hour. An adventure, but one which I would not like to repeat, lol.
