I decided not to attend the meetings, my mind did not accept my heart's rejection of being in such a cold and distant place, there was no family or love, after 50 years of service and being the widow of an unloving and cruel Elder protected by his companions, who upon his death never had actions or words of support; I found that support network in the worldly, blessed "wicked ones" who helped me, and I could never understand why Jehovah did not use his servants, my brothers, one changed congregations, allowed me to abandon them, just before the start of the Pandemic, they received my registration and they communicated, we agreed to greet each other at the Commemoration that never took place... and you know what? Never again in these 4 years did they contact me... I never felt more alone...but light and with that feeling of freedom!

Thanks Eric, great video brother, for some years even after I left the Watch tower I was afraid to give my lord and savior any credit, but Yehovah opened my heart and mind to understanding, I felt so ashamed after, Yehovah himself tells us about his son, that he has been approved by him and that Christ is his beloved and we are to listen to him, the Governing body is the great usurper. This club hasn't gotten anything from me for years. I'm not going to support them and privileges I want from these unathletic and untrained ones from the Governing Body, because the money is used to fund lawyers and a lot of good Christians and people with common sense don't like pedophiles

I was praying to Jehovah the other day and this took over my thoughts as I was praying....Adam had a relationship with Jehovah, but because of the fear of losing his wife he sinned and took of the fruit and believed the lie Satan had told her.
Just as Adam sinned, most of the witnesses still in the Kingdom Halls fear losing the Governing body and their position in the congregation and therefore have sinned against Jehovah by believing the lies of the Devil. Truth is exactly that, truth! Lies will be exposed and liars punished. Forever!

Eric, you stated everything that I've felt and known about the JW organization for decades. I'm not a member nor have I ever stepped foot in a Kingdom Hall but, I've known and have had acquaintances in the congregation for the last 50 years. I've shared with them that these leaders in Bethel have replaced the authority of Yashua (Jesus) with themselves. You're exactly right, Yashua IS the only leader true leader of the faithful. Keep up the good work!
Well Done Eric. One of my JW sisters called me the other day excitedly explaining the changes the Society made. She was giddy with excitement explaining "How wonderfully loving, and understanding" the Gov Bod is for easing service requirements, and allowing beards...etc. I asked why the Gov Bod is always changing doctrine, and whether they were right then, or now? They relegate it all to "The light gets brighter". The JWs arrogance is only surpassed by their ignorance. Wolves in designer suits.

It use to bother me about turning in time. I wondered if I was doing wrong because this was a tradition of men. I never saw where Jesus turned in any time. It also was like it was about compitition. The change on beards also. I wondered what I would say if someone asked me because I did not know of any scriptures that warned against it. I also went to a brother about the lords evening meal. The world was not invited to watch in the bible. I quit inviting people due to something being so sacred and just inviting people, something Jesus did not do. I worried they were going to make me end up in ghenna doing the works they were doing thats not biblical. I dont go now for a few reasons one of them is due to the scripture, Rev 18:4.

I'd always avoided having "worldly" friends. But eventually, I had no JW friends either. I read Crisis of Conscience and woke up. Such a surprise! Watchtower is part of Babylon the Great. I see anyone's efforts at "reforming" Watchtower as being similar to trying to revive a corpse.... useless. Welcome out of the toxic daze.

Col 1:17-19 in part says 'he (Jesus) is before all other things . . . that he might become the one who is first in all things, because (God) saw good for all fullness to dwell in him.' NWT God loved this Son and wants him to be loved by us because Jesus made such a huge sacrifice on our behalf. God is rightly proud of him and wants him to be honoured by us as our King.
Ps 2:12 'Kiss the Son, so that God may not be angry.'

Are you aware that "The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures" do NOT have the word "other" in the text ( Col 1:16-20). In addition, the NWT in the 1984 edition the word "other" is bracketed [other]. New World Translations 2013 and current no longer bother with the brackets. Any thoughts concerning this matter?
Excellent as usual brother. This governing body continues to fleece the flock before leading them to the slaughter. They are exposing themselves with every syllable at this point. The people inside of the kingdom hall don’t even have to look on the Internet anymore. They should be able to discern this coming directly from the stage and videos that watchtower is producing.

Yes, those conventions can really tear some witnesses down and cause them to feel less than adequate. Well, as Sam Herd said- the witnesses “ best isn’t good enough.”
They definitely seem to be pushing Jesus aside and putting themselves in his place. Reminds me of Luke 21:8 " many will come in my name saying we are the Christ (or Gods anointed) the appointed time is near, follow us" but Jesus says don't be deceived or go after them. to me that seems like exactly what the core message of watchtower is.
My husband and I were saying the same thing yesterday. The fact that they have said that “the others sheep’s” salvation depends on following them and that Jesus is not their mediator is like saying that Jesus’ blood and sacrifice isn’t enough. Even if they were the slave, slaves don’t rule or govern over other slaves, that’s what the Master, Jesus does. Itself baffles me sometimes how we all followed this without question

Just for you information, Eric (Meleti Vivlon?) I was a single parent bringing up two girls. We were active in our congregation. At one point our refrigerator stopped working and I couldn’t afford to buy another one.The only other person who knew was my Father-in-Law who was an elder in our congregation. Within a few days we had another refrigerator. I had no idea where it came from since it was delivered when I wasn’t there. It must have come from the congregation. I also know of another single Sister with three kids who had to throughout ALL her furniture for reasons why I’ll not go into here. By the next day she had a house full of furniture. We just don’t want to be known as Rice Christians.
The governing body members are so much like the evangelical 700 club. I remember the Sophia and Caleb cartoon. Sophia Ice has a dollar wants to buy an ice cream and her mom starts lecturing her about donating to the Kingdom Halls. Mind you it’s the end of the world at any moment so obviously it makes sense that we need as much money as possible donated for future real estate investments.

The Watchtower Society's Governing Body is about not one, not two, but three things; money, power, and themselves. They have shoved Jesus Christ to the side and appointed themselves as "the faithful and discreet slave". It is astounding and disturbing how they have usurped His authority to judge other people, even though He clearly told us not to judge others, lest we be judged ourselves. Thank you for this eye-opening and insightful video, Eric.
I love your program and learn so much. Thank you. I do remember when talking about Jesus got us into trouble, back in the 70’s. That was a very heavy burden to carry. It was an empty feeling. I feared Jehovah. And as far as widows and children? When I was disfellowshipped and my husband was a JW and my family was torn up, I felt like a widow. I was dead to everyone. I had no support. WT turned its back, of course. If it wasn’t for my non-JW parents, my children and I would’ve starved while I had to learn job skills, pursue that “Higher Education”, etc. it was a very terrible time designed through shunning to break me so I’d crawl back to the WT. Children suffer through the isolation while they’re in (as well as dying because of the no blood doctrine) and hardships if the parent is disfellowshipped, tossed out and unprepared to make it in the “world”. And that is exactly what WT wants: make the widows and the children suffer so that they will “humble” themselves and return to the Org. It’s abusive and cruel. The only joy I found was meeting the Lord Jesus. Life happened. Thank you. ❤

And what bothers me is that they refer to themselves has Faithful Slave,yet Jesus has not returned yet, and it is Jesus who deems the slave faithful.It is Not up to a Slave to deem itself Faithful,thats Jesus call..
It is in the interest of a very dark force to eliminate Jesus name and His very personal connection with all of human kind.

9:00 i remember an elder like 35 years ago, he was a convert and fairly soon appointed, wonderful human being, but he actually got counseled for calling God "Father" too much in his prayers, he told them he wasn't going to stop. I remember the last talk i gave, i ended it with the scripture from Galatians "you are all the sons of God" and pointed at the audience. I got a big smile of approval from an elder friend of mine. Then a few years later he was the chairman in the judicial committee that df'd me for apostasy and looked like he was going to cry the whole time.
Fleegle mentions that ‘jehovah does not compare us to others’ yet God compared Cain to Abel to his face resulting in the first recorded unaliving. So what changed? 🤔 man the things they claim to know are such a liability
For some strange reason I enjoy your presentation. I've never been a JW, but my nearest neighbors are. I've known them for over 30 years, but of course there is a limit as to how close a friendship can be between a JW and a non-JW. Religion always comes up in conversation and I'm a religion nut, so it's fine with me. I guess I'm getting JW data from you in order to know how to carry on a meaningful conversation with these wonderful neighbors who are living in a very different world from me. Even though my neighbors are younger than me, they have health issues which may connect with their JW experience of always feeling that the world's going to end any day now, that they haven't done enough. I think that chronic stress is really unhealthy, both physically and mentally.
Your logical presentation of how Watchtower causes JW's to focus on the Old Testament more than Jesus is interesting. Also their not addressing God as "Father" as Jesus did is a definite choice to play down man's relationship to God as Father. Words matter. Words create our inner world and how we view the outer world.
As a father of three, I can't imagine focusing on one child and ignoring the other two, of giving everything to one and not the others. The world is a big place, especially in the ancient world where people were limited to knowing about only a small part of the planet. Most Christians are not aware that Cyrus the Great of Persia is actually mentioned in Isaiah as the "Anointed of God", meaning he was a Messiah. Why would the Jews elevate a Persian King, a follower of the prophet Zoroaster, to such an honored spiritual position? Because he conquered Babylon and freed the Jews to return to the Holy Land and even gave them the funds to rebuild their Temple in Jerusalem. It's amazing that any king would do that for another nation. And Zoroastrians also enter the picture when the Magi, the Wise Men, followed the star to find Jesus and present the Holy Baby with gifts. The Magi were Zoroastrian priests. Why would Zoroastrian priests be motivated to do such a thing? Did God care about the people of Persia by sending Zoroaster to them? Obviously God loved them as much as He loved the Jews for they were, are, all his children. I'm not a Zoroastrian, nor am I a Jew, but it is logical to think that God cares for all, God provides for all because He's the Father to all.

As someone raised a JW I actually always felt there was much more focus on the New Testament than old. We learn the stories of the Old Testament as children usually through a family study but at the kingdoms hall, most discussions are much more focused on the New Testament. I know about he apostles and Jesus like the back of my hand but Old Testament stories other than the main ones, Adam and Eve, Noah and Moses I’m just starting to learn on my own as an adult more deeply from doing my own studying and listening to other preachers.
I actually find the Old Testament stories to be very fascinating and profound as a blueprint for life and found a lot of parallels to the battles I’ve faced in my own life. The only thing from the Old Testament that jumps out to me as frequently taught by JWs is the blood issue, which is actually part of the mosaic law, which they also say we’re not under anymore. But for some reason they pick that one part out. It’s also very interesting to me to hear that most non JWs THINK JWs put little focus on Jesus when he’s really a main topic at most meetings. He’s just referred to as Gods Son rather than the most high Father God himself.

@@pocahontas4583In the 70’s when I was in, there was very little talk about Jesus and the OT was mainly talked about. Everything was Jehovah. We were reprimanded by elders for talking too much about Jesus. Things have changed since then, especially now that the Governing Body has gotten into Real Estate and Jesus is the new movie star of their Film Industry. Business evolves.
Actually even most of the publications written by watchtower are focused on the New Testament. Revelation book, there are multiple publications about Jesus such as greatest man who ever lived, come be my follower, Great Teacher, Bearing Thorough Witness (which is about the book of Acts)…. The list goes on. I actually can’t think of ANY publications aside from the Children’s Bible story book which covers the whole Bible that focus on the Old Testament….
There’s an irony of WT skipping the chain of command. Jesus will be king, they agree. But instead of looking to him they usurp his position & go straight to the top with Jehovah instead.

This was great coverage of those talks Eric I truly appreciate it and I am in agreement with your view of what is really going on with the organizational changes. We know Jehovah God does not change, and he’s always loving. And Jesus said his load is light and kindly, so we know it was never Jehovah or Jesus‘s arrangement for his sheep to be under compulsion to spend unreasonable hours preaching a message that wasn’t even correct, a message that was far from the true gospel. - Should I pay USD 10mil for new movie about me or should I pay for maybe 200 new homes my dear brothers lost in Ukraine or for thousands of homes for my brothers in refugee camps in Africa? Hmm... I will make the movie, that make sense.
- Should I and my apostles wear golden watches (I bought or was given) worth approx USD20K each and give the poorest in my flock or should I wear it? Hm... We will wear it and not only humbly in my home and maybe in Kingdom Hall in front of maybe similarly rich brothers. No no I will wear it in front of all the global brotherhood at the broadcasting so all poor nations could see how well their donations makes me.

Thank you, Eric for you research of this review. The only reason it is hard to identify Christ in the Hebrew Scriptures is because JW'S are not taught to identify who His. Understanding the references that are directed to The Messiah Yausha, but because of doing it their way the take away the forcus on the Messiah Yausha and the promises for humans that His Father would give to all who put faith in the new covenant. Also that the new covenant was not only for the group they have chosen. They don't want their members Free as Christ said they would be. The people there need to want it for themselves.❤
I am very much interested in the claims about the “corporate” part of the organisation and what the governing body gets out of their deseit. Wilson paints the picture of them living very comfortably. Dont they live like all other in bethel homes around the earth?
There’s more to it than that. These privileged men have all their cares taken care of. Free room and broad, free insurance and health care, free automobiles, free travel all over the world, free suits, not to mention the green handshakes and where do they get the money to buy and wear Rolex watches! When they decide to down size the bethel family and send many back out into the world with nothing does it effect them?! When circuit overseers reach the retirement age and are forced out of the circuit work, work that many have done for years with no other income, what do they now have except the charity of some local congregations or members. These bethel members who take a vow of charity can’t even claim SSA or Medicare! Recognize the fruits of these men for what they are.
Love the widows mite new light. Looks like you could see what everyone was putting in and you could be shamed. The widow probably felt pressured to put in as much as she could.

Only Abraham was called "friend of God." Just as only David was called “the man after my own heart.” Only Daniel was called a "very desirable man." Job was called “my servant.” Ezekiel = Son of man.
It's not about classes here. This is God's assessment of each of His servants individually. Why insist on generalizing the term "friend" of Abraham to all humans?

Some of the recent Annual meeting talks are being released to the JW rank and file and the narrative is that the GB etc are being generous in showing these early instead of the usual waiting period (3 months I believe).
I'd say that the major reason is that JW's can easily access these on the internet anyway, along with incisive criticism, and this alone is going to produce resentment. It's sort of an admission of defeat by those who wish to keep it under wraps

I'm reading from the NWT because I'm appealing to JWs. This is not a time to dispute renderings that fall outside the scope of the topic being considered.
Are you of the opinion that there are bible translations that are not corrupted to some extent by the bias of their translator's religious beliefs? For example, John 1:1 is badly rendered in many Bibles, as it John 8:48-59. Many Bible translators violate rules of Greek grammar to bolster support for their belief in a Trinity.

This is a great video with a great message. I do have a question, however. In this video and in your book you mention that only those who have the heavenly hope are the children of God, and yet in Luke 3:38 it calls Adam a Son of God:
38 son of Enosh,
son of Seth,
son of Adam,
son of God.
And, later on in Revelation 21:7, it says that those living on earth will also be called God's children:
7 Anyone conquering will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son.
In your book, you say that only God's children inherit things and yet Adam was a child of God and he would have possessed the earth since Psalms 115:16 says:
16 As for the heavens, they belong to Jehovah,
But the earth he has given to the sons of men.
So doesn't that mean that those who will be living on earth also be children of God who inherit the earth?
Also, in your book you didn't really mention what will happen to the unrighteous who are resurrected and prove to be faithful at the end of the thousand years. Will they continue to live on earth forever, or will they then qualify for heaven?
