@@Alexis-y3w to help it start, yes. It’s just a way to see if your air/fuel mixture is good. If it starts while you cover the intake, it means you’re not getting enough fuel into the cylinders.
Yeah, I'd suspect the plumbing as well. Does the pump have it's own relief valve? That might have saved the pump if the dealer's plumbing deadheaded the pump. Hope you can find the right hose diagram.

This is the reason that for me nothing goes to the dealer unless its under warranty or takes a special computer that no one has. My experience is that dealers overcharge for crappy work and you have to double check what they've done.
love your content man, its awesome... i need your assistance however..... i got a 2011 cat gc55k that kinda has never ran that great for the year ive owned it. its the lovely vortec v6 and i have yet to see one that runs great. i have another 10k cat same engine, runs better than this 2011 but it has its hiccups. anyways, now it doesnt run at all, it cranks good, i intially thought it was a fuel issue, tried brake clean and it didnt even try, i also before that, wiggled the wires on that fuel pressure switch back towards the RH hand side of the engine and i did get it to run and it ran good for a couple weeks, but yeah im down to it not running at all and would love your insight, i was going to go deeper in it but would love to hear from you first.... thanks.
@@samuelw.3992 those Vortec V6’s are a PITA for sure! If it doesn’t run off starting fluid, your problem is most likely spark related. Or the engine is flooding with too much fuel. Those V6’s are very sensitive to air fuel mixture, as well as very shitty spark. A tune up will help a lot (if it hasn’t been done in a while)
I’d bet money that the pressure built up in the hydraulic pump and was bogging the motor and would not allow for start. They (the dealer) broke that plate with excessive pressure build up because they have the hydraulics ran incorrectly…!!!!

What a joke of a dealer. I always use colored zip ties when doing hoses.
@@samuelw.3992 facts!
I hope the dealership didn't charge them for those injectors, absolutely useless!
They did. Over $2,000 but the customer isn’t going to pay it.
