This makes THE BEST Old Fashioned. Me and a couple of buddies have tried about 30 different bourbons in this cocktail and 114 takes the cake. Hands down!
@2TEN90 for sure. The MOST important part of this is the sugar. If you want the absolute best tasting and robust flavor you have to find demerara sugar. Make up your simple syrup with a 1:1 ratio. - 2 oz bourbon - 2 tsp simple syrup - 3-5 dashes bitters Stir with large ice cube. Slice an orange peel, squeeze over the glass to release the oils. Rim the glass with the peel then slide it in behind the ice cube. Enjoy!
I have had same experience. It basically makes the best OF. I put a dash of regular bitters and orange bitters in it. I've had people tell me that it's better than anything they've ever had at restaurants.
It should be mentioned, if you’ve gotten there yet, these change a LOT in the bottle with air. IMO, they start out being solid but when you get half the bottle gone they go from solid to GREAT.

Thanks homie, been looking for a good cheap bottle I can enjoy. This one's been catching my eye every time I pop into my liquor store. Last time was when I bought michter's small batch, I was eyeballing this the entire time but I had heard such good things that I went with michters. All I could taste was regular ol buffalo Trace. Maybe some minor hints of flavor but nothing that would excuse the price difference

To me the alcohol covers up the taste instead of bringing it out like other high proof bottles I have had. I get cinnamon and pepper with heat and have a hard time finding typical bourbon flavors like brown sugar and vanilla. I will end up using it as a mixer.
The Bonded is great for summer sipping. The OGD is a step up with a punch. I keep seeing it across the border in WI for $19.99. I have 4 bottles on the shelf. 🥃

My favorite bourbon. Sometimes i over indulge but it doesn't make me feel like garbage the next day.
I get a peanut brittle finish on it, so freaking good
