How to Knit the "Rosie" Baby Blanket

  • Meet Rosie! A geometric joy of a blanket! With a slightly longer 20 row repeat than blanket's that have come before her, she is the perfect project for an adventurous beginner to tackle.
    Still with the clean lines and striking illusion pattern that I love, Rosie consists of Garter Stitch & Stockinette Triangles and whilst this isn't a reversible pattern, the wrong side is still clean and tidy, what more could you ask for?

    VIDEO CORRECTION: Cast on should be 139, not 134. The pattern multiple explanation is correct but I made a mistake when stating the number of stitches for the blanket I made. Sorry for any confusion 🙈

    Attempting this right now, and if I am able to complete it, it will be the very first blanket I knitted. I can knit shawls, hats scarves,fingerless gloves, but have yet to knit an actual baby blanket. Doing it in blue as requested by someone. I really like the texture and visual of this pattern. Thank you.🥰

    I have 5 balls of Red Heart Soft 10 oz (283 g) color Berry. Your patterns are perfect for this yarn, but I can't make up my mind which one to do! 😊

    Such a very pretty blanket - I have some sport weight that I need to use up - guess I may double it and see what that does - suggestion??

    • @SnufflebeanYarn
      @SnufflebeanYarn  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep, either double it up or increase your cast on to compensate for the thinner yarn 🥰

      I used Stylecraft Belissima in Raspberry Riot (I think that was the name, it definitely was raspberry something) 🧶😀

      No I made a mistake - you should cast on 139.

    Oh no 😭 i didnt see the comment and i was following the video 😭 I've spent hours already as this is my first ever project.
    Took me ages to figure out what i was doing wrong and then i saw the comment about 139 not 134 stitches.
    Is it going to look funny?? How can I fix this without undoing everything??
    Thanks!! X

    • @SnufflebeanYarn
      @SnufflebeanYarn  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, I’m so sorry you didn’t see the corrections, I tried to make them as obvious as possible.
      In honesty I’m not sure that you can fix it without undoing it and the pattern multiple won’t work with 134 stitches.

      @SnufflebeanYarn  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a pinned comment to explain I made a mistake and I’ve also corrected the written pattern and subtitles. The multiple is correct but I made an error in saying 134 instead of 139.

      @SnufflebeanYarn  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a pinned comment explaining that there is an error in the video - the written pattern has been corrected and I’m in the process of writing out the subtitles and correcting it within there. I’m so sorry about that.

    I wanted make the boarder shorter. 12 rows instead of 16. How many should the side boarder be? I’m doing 99 stitches. It’s for a preemie

      I couldn't figure out doing 7 on each side, I stuck with the original 8. I just finished the first 20 rows, but want to do it in three different colors - would that look okay with the boarder being different colors? Is there a way I can keep the boarder one color?@@SnufflebeanYarn
