I think instead of doing the average rating you should do the median (the middle number), the average number is more easily skewed by outliers and I think the median would be a better representation of the overall rating.
You might want to be more specific with your wording of the question, some people answered the question: "Do you personally find her attractive?" while others answered "How attractive do you think others find her?"
Personally I find the first question far more interesting than the latter, as that would give a more real assessment.

There is a difference between
"is she attractive?"
and
"are you attracted to her?"
The problem is that they asked “Do you find her attractive?” which you could answer in both ways. You could answer it as in “is she attractive in general?” or “is she attractive to you personally?”
Attractive to whose standards? There is no one standard. So to me you can only go off of your own perception.

They played it safe by doing this with a model who they knew would get mostly very high scores.

But it’s probably also more comfortable for the others - and yes I hate saying that. But if they had chosen someone less or not attractive (by most people’s standards) the others would have felt bad for having to give lower scores and receiving them would be even harder for most people (even if they agree to do this in the first place).
I don’t know, you could literally pay me a thousand dollars and I don’t think I could do this. If you’re insecure about your appearance and how you’re perceived all your life this is horrible. Being a number. Maybe getting ‘the evidence’ for what you’ve thought all along.
And maybe an average score would be the worst for some - because being average is after all kinda like saying you are worth being ignored because you don’t catch people’s attention. I would have hated being in Julia’s place.
Cause even if I would have gotten high scores I’d think afterwards to myself that I’ve solely gotten them out of pity

I don’t think that’s what he really meant, because I’d kinda of agree with that statement if the only thing I saw was her insta. Mainly bc theres this over produced image of what perfection is *especially* on social media cites. It leads to a feeling of insincerity and can seem basic. It’s like she checks all the boxes but there’s nothing unique and she blends in especially in the Instagram format where we see so many accounts similar to hers.

This is a great way to look at it. Also interesting that girls tended to rank her higher.
I feel like it’s pretty obvious that a model is gonna rank very high in this. This would’ve been way better and had way more intriguing results if it was an average person or someone who isn’t so stereotypically or maybe unconventionally attractive. Every result was genuinely in the 80-100 range, it wasn’t that hard to guess that the scores would be pretty high for her.

I find it so hard to find people unattractive. Like for me I don’t have to be attracted to someone to find them attractive. So y’all are saying she scored high because of looks, but personality was definitely a factor...the high score wasn’t only based on shallow first opinions. Like, her last round had the highest score. She honestly seemed like an awesome person, and I’d want to be friends with her for sure.
