Stock pipe is way too long. Same thing with Sportbikes at some point began doing same thing, putting these bazooka tail pipes.
Looks great I'm thinking of doing this to my 2019 kx450. But just using the stock end cap.

Shortening the silencer you lose revs and won’t pull as long in the higher rpms, and will hit harder, but I guess it all depends on what your preferences are

I cut 2 inches out of my 2010 kx 450 and repack it. I noticed it had a little bit more of a bark and it definitely don't slow the bike down
Why didn’t you just use the existing holes in the end cap? You elected to drill new ones. Just curious is all.
He cut the entire end off, there wasn’t any holes because he cut them off.
@@boogietruck2.0 in know that. I would have still lined up the existing holes in the tip section and drilled new holes on the can section.

Nope. The speed chips would cancel it out anyway (Fast, Medium, Slow)

Yes it’s a bolt on FastWay spark arrestor.
how big of a hole/bit size was it? also which rivets did you use?
Sorry but, our rivet tool broke shortly after this video. And I couldn’t tell you, size bit was nothing specific. We just unscrewed the cap and saw what bit size seemed right.
