Thank you! Congratulations on your new little one. They are certainly a handful but so worth the effort.

    So sorry for your loss!!
The breeder's name is Fox Chase Wires (Google that name and you will find their site. I can't reply with a link). I don't know if she has any puppies coming soon, but you could ask. They are in northern Illinois.

Please people look for rescues!! There are so many who need good homes!! The thing is you either get show quality or not show quality, and many of the t end up as rescues or even at shelters are simply not show quality , but excellent pets, if treated properly. My first foxie was a rescue, a previous show quality breeding female who was of no use anymore, left tied up to a tree in the hot sun!!! Uuuuugh!!!!!! Her first life before me was very harsh as you can imagine , but I spent the last five yrs of her life teaching her to be a dog. Okay to be on furniture, okay to sleep in bed with me, okay to literally roll on the mud and play with other adult dogs. My fav picture of her is after she had been in the muddy yard playing with her standard poodle (65 lbs) and gsd(85 lbs) friends, she went to the water bucket, stuck her head and neck and paws into it and rinsed off! She looked like a drowned rat, but the expression on her face was pure joy:))) The first four months of her life with me she made me cry every day because she didn't know how to play with toys, she on,y cuddled the stuffy toys. I am not saying every breeder is like this, I am saying that there are many unscrupulous people who just breed for money period. That is why rescue is so huge now, sadly. With every breed as well. Breeders don't spay and neuter their puppies because they want to sell at a high price and never know what those buyers will be like with the dogs. Many don't care. Go to a WHFT rescue site and see what I mean. PLease please, look at rescues for a dog. Thank you.

loretta goclowski Thanks for your comment. It's so important when selecting from a breeder to do your research and make sure they are reputable. I visited my breeder multiple times before getting my dog and saw the facilities and also met the parents. I agree that rescuing is another amazing option and one that I will likely pursue in the future. I definitely do not support puppy mills or irresponsible breeders who only care about profit. The best breeders will have very limited litters per year (not more than one from the same dog) and usually not make much money from the puppies once all their vet care and food is accounted for. My breeder did not spay my dog because she was too young when I got her, but I did have to sign a contract saying I would get her spayed and that I would not breed her.
