Great to see a car looked after like this, burn out on paint is extremely difficult to happen, unfortunately the market is flooded with advice to make you ask more and more unnecessary questions and worries. As for ceramic coatings they too are over rated, they will not protect your car as they state, the depth of ceramic left on the car is so many microns thick. It will mark and scuff, even with new cloths used to wash and dry. It's friction from two materials so as long as you do that to a paint coat your get swirls. But I will say it's fun doing the hole process and to be fair if you love your car then why the hell not. Not many look after there vehicle's in the day and age as its all on the never never and long gone are the days where your pride and joy is sat out at the front of the house. People go thro cars like shoes.... F type owner myself. Keep up the good work.

To be fair, with proper maintenance of the vehicle you won't get generalised wash swirls and marks. Of course you may get a couple of marks here and there, but it will never look as bad as it did "pre correction".
I have a video of how to wash a car on my Channel. The process is not hard but it is a small commitment to the upkeep of your vehicle.
We have detailed and maintained cars which still look great, with brilliant beading still after 2 years (Gyeon MOHS Evo).
One of my own cars has a Labocosmetica dual layer coating which, despite my best efforts to ruin it, still beads really well despite being left filthy and covered in rubber, dust etc for months at a time outside in changeable weather condition. (Track car, you see).
The problem is some less-honest detailers may claim these miracle benefits, 2867 year coatings with 15H hardness and resists a nuclear bomb, but those of us who are honest do state the limitations of the product.
However, owners often get lazy, a couple of dealer/service centre washes here and a drive-through "hand car wash" there can really affect the finish.
Likewise small technique improvements such as folding cloths properly rather than just using them in any random manner, and using edgeless cloths, all reduce the chance.
I do also have a full video on a Jag F Type R on my channel too if you'd like to see- The original owner sold the car around 18 months after the detail, the new owner called us to say he'd never seen a car look so good and to thank us (was a really surreal phone call).

    Couple of tips
    1. Use some tape to mask off the textured black plastics then you can polish to the edge of the panel
    2. The Costco cloths are terrible, and will mark the paint. I'd recommend some Edgeless clothes (Purewipe do some great ones which are cost effective)
    3. After coating, you can re-use the cloths, they don't need to be thrown away - Great for using on interior/wheels/ etc.
    4. Buy yourself a kneely-pad so you can effectively work on the lower panels.
    Happy detailing :)

Went through this recently myself on my F-type, with 3 coats on the wheels as well. My god, it feels like an Olympic event...lol...Hoping it's worth it, first time I've ever done it...

Just done mine , ceramic coating is easy to apply but they are all different, we are on the boat to Bilbao next Tuesday and are traversing the Spanish Pyrenees from west to east and staying on the costa brava and then on to Bordeaux and Saumur in the Loire before returning after 23 days , can’t wait

Good work, my F type has a few stone chips, especially near the wheels. Did you do anything with those first?
