I’m 19. I nearly went and bought a 15k car. Thankfully tho out of nowhere I just decided to buy a car for $2000 it’s not the best but having that freedom of not paying anything at the end of the month is the best feeling ever. It’s made me vow to only buy a car in cash or if I’m financing I’ll put 95% of the cash as down payment. Mortgage is headache and I wouldn’t want car payments to add on that.

This is what happens when kids have kids. No 21 year old should be having a child in this day and age. Especially, not one that makes decisions like a 26% interest rate on a car note. Gimme a break. Also, that boyfriend doesn't care because he's too young to care for it. She's simply another girl for him at the moment. The same goes for her. That's why she didn't even mention him until Dave asked. I wouldn't be surprised if they break up in a couple of months. What a mess!

Would be cool if he explained the downward trend of a car's value VS the upward trend of your total payments with a compoundin high interest rate . Helps you visualize the swath or gap you create, most cars are money pits
