Ahhh Tootsie and the good ole days of the early 80s, I wish we could bring the whole era back. Ya know? When I see all the old Checker cabs the old GMC busses even the old CRT TVs I miss it all.
Wonderful movie, great songs, That song " It Might be You", is one of my favorite songs, the words are so comforting and real. I think this movie is when i fell in love with Jessica Lange, she is an incredible, beautiful and Awesome!!! actress , no matter what movie she is in, She shines. 😍😍😍 Dustin Hoffman is also Awesome in this movie , So charming as a man and as a woman, No one else could have done that good potraying that character. 😊
OMG 😱 tootsie looks just like my neighbour. . . (Mrs R from Falmouth) Sadly, my neighbour doesn't have the same comedy value, though 😌 she wears the same glasses and has the same 80s hairstyle, but she looks like she's chewing on a wasp. Haha 😂
This is all time favorite movie of Dustin Hoffman. The Graduate was fascinating and incredible and Rain Man was marvelous but Tootsie is in a class by himself/herself. Besides I though Dustin Hoffman made a very lovely woman, particularly in that red sequin dress. A woman I wouldn't have mind dating.
“Tootsie” (1982) was included among the “1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die” (1st edition, 2003), by Steven Jay Schneider. So - if applicable - make sure you add it to your BUCKET LIST‼️ 💚🎬💜
It's funny when you go back and watch this movie. You notice there are so many Harvey Weinstein kinda men in this movie. The Director the money men behind the scenes... Tootsie as a man opens this Pandora's Box to this world that some men.. believe that the more money and success they have they can pay off their behavior with money....they hunt women down like if they didn't act this way they wouldn't be men... Even Michael the main character..has to deal with how he treats women...and how he sees them...even the homophobia and the concept of male fear are there... See some movies like this one last a lifetime.. because the art form of acting... is so predominant in this film. it became more than just about a man dressed up as a woman to become a successful actor....the passion that trying to be yourself in a world that doesn't want you to be. Depending on the word you see you're self in. It's a journey of wanting to be created vs the concept of money is the only reason to create. So much acting in this movie raw straight acting...
Kinda funny family guy referenced this and then also sorta did a episode with a similar premise where Stevie pretends to be a girl to get on a kids tv show
one of my aunt's was upset because she did not get a certain job. my other aunt, her sister, dressed up as a man y went down there y actually got the job. i kid you not.
Is this a true story where the actor really couldn't get rolls for anything until he started as a female and then you became popular or is that just How The story goes fate real world for the movie if I'm even asking this in the right way if I'm even making sense but that's what I want to know
This movie and Steel Magnolias were two movies my Aunt used to watch when I was a kid. Absolutely hated those movies... Being an adult I re watched them thinking I would either like the movie more or understand it better as an adult and nope. Just tasteless movies. Not to say there weren't good movies around at the time. Mr Mom was good, Money Pit was great. I will never get why people like movies like Tootsie or Steel Magnolias.
I WAS 13 OR TEEN WHEN I SAW THIS BUT THIS IS A SIN BEFORE GOD, CROSS DRESSING IS SINFUL I GOT SAVED IN 87 EXCEPT A MANBE BORN AGAIN HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD JOHN 3-3 AND THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST CLEANSETH US FROM ALL SIN 1 JOHN 1-7

Perfect script. Perfect casting. Perfect movie.
YES! AGREE 1000000%! AND THE WORST TRAILER EVER! LMAO
one of the best movies of all time
Really? You watched like 1'0 or 20 movies? Try a bit harder.
Our Drama teacher in Grade 8 (circa '94) made us watch this film, my life was forever changed!!!
your teacher would be fired in so many states now... cuz people are dumb
When trailers weren't the whole story abridged
Hello how are you doing today?.. You are looking beautiful..Where are you originally from?
But this one said it all
So true 😄
You clearly haven't seen the trailer for mommy dearest from this era.
Was just thinking that.
I watched this movie 10 years after its release . Thorougly enjoyed watching it.
Long before Mrs Doubtfire there was TOOTSIE
Yes. The men in dresses in Hollywood role smdh
And before both, there was Some Like it Hot
Tootsie was my Moms favorite movie and she loved it.
Thee most hilarious movie I ever saw. We rolled out of the aisles lol.

Although that film was a commentary on the deep economic recession of the early 80s.
There was no Internet then (and certainly no TH-cam).
watched this classic again --- fantastic performances all around, solid script
Now that's a trailer!
One of my favourite teaser trailers
I remember to see that movie in movie theater 1983 when I was twelve years old 😊😊👌👌✌️😉

Should I be ashamed to say that this
is one of my all-time favorite movies?
No. It's hilarious! 😆
No way, it’s mine too !
No it was the top grossing comedy of all time until Ghostbusters took the throne
Of course no, this movie is wholesome
Nope. Mine, too.
An amazing movie as simple as that...no more no less...

LOVE LOVE LOVE TOOTSIE
My name's Michael,,, I've heard that said to me before also, just like the narrator said,,"Michael,,no one wants to hire you!!."
Different time. We didn’t have movies on demand 24/7. Going to see a movie was eventful.
Love this movie
Ah this brings me back
It’s interesting that title of this movie isn’t the name of Hoffman’s character.
Love love love this movie 🥰
When Constance Langdon became an actress
Quel régal ce film😍 je ne me lasse jamais de le revoir
I Loved this movie and lol funny ,belly shaking funny and a whole lot of fun 😄.
Basically if you remove the kids you have a 80s version of Mrs Doubtfire
Not really.
0:06- IS he also Frances Farmer?
0:55- What? No, you're not supposed to give away the Crying Game twist in the trailer!
Next time you
Should do the FreshMan
With Matthew Broadwick.
🦋🐻🐱🎬🌟 Gr8 Movie 🎬 + Gr8 Acting Performance By Dustin Hoffman!.. 🌟🎬🐱🐻🌠💝
Kinda funny family guy referenced this and then also sorta did a episode with a similar premise where Stevie pretends to be a girl to get on a kids tv show
YOU WERE A TOMATO!
Tootsie is a good "actor", can show a thing or two about manners to my current doctor!
In my country was a movie who Having the same story, but he was a pilot
John Truby really, I mean, reeeeeally likes this movie, hun?
Did John Belushi get to see this movie?
Tootsie looks like that alcoholic from the 1982 movie Annie.
Mark Dice Mentioned this movie. I never saw it...
Suits brought me here 😂😂
what's amazing about this movie is all the idiots surrounding Hoffman's character actually believing he's a woman
what was a zany comedy in 1982 is now a normal scenario
Nah, you're just transphobic :)
Sweet😄😍
I am looking for people who searched this because of Young Sheldon XD
They predicted the future. These days men dress up as females and win all the awards in sports
❤️❤️❤️
ok ok
Hello how are you doing today?
❤
one of my aunt's was upset because she did not get a certain job. my other aunt, her sister, dressed up as a man y went down there y actually got the job. i kid you not.
Yeah, family guy brought me here
Old trailers were really weird.

You know the saying,
Life is better as a girl
Julie idole
😊
Avvai shanmuki
Avvai shanmuki and Mrs doubtfire are the same, Tootsie and Remo are the same

How unfortunate for you.
great movie. terrible trailer. “she’s Dustin Hoffman?” Dustin Hoffman is no the character that plays the female, Michael is!
I'm surprised the radical right wingers haven't canceled this
Back in the 80s this was a terrible movie
This was dating came from because this is a b
Jesus loves you!
Jesus wore dresses too!
appeals to me less than it did when it came out. yuck
Is this offending people yet?
