  • FUNKTION ONE Twitter Speaker Repair video is about documenting the repair i made.
The repair is easy and is the most common issue with the speakers i found. Before this i repaired some studio monitor speakers in the same way so if you have this issue try this first and don't worry. Funktion one speakers are the same.
With a relative minimum amount of tools can be made. Usually is the braided leads but in this case i went up and up measuring it to find that is inside somewhere. I removed the round part from the cone center and captured the end, solder it back and secured it permanently with epoxy. In the same way those leads can be replaced and reglue.
If you are doing it yourself do it on your own responsibility.

The same problem had this friend of mine and is the reason why this driver was sent to me to be repaired.

There are similar online from the same producer Fane but you need to adapt it somehow to work with resolution 2 as its not made specifically for this

this is the 8" driver in e.g. the Res2 Tops right?
I have an issue that could be exactly the same but I can't get the silver top section out of the speaker without completely destroying it as it seems to be glued shut aswell. Do you have any tips for this?

Not sure what exactly what you need to remove. I didn't had to remove anything. I receive it exactly like this. If anything is glued heat always helps. Hair dryer or a heat gun works.
