  • We try to pay the amazing acuity of human hearing the respect it deserves by engineering loudspeakers that deliver as much resolution and realism as possible. Listening is the foundation and the heart of everything we do.

I am not surprised to what I am listening here. Coming back from Burning man and smaller Burns I realised that always when I got lost in space and lost myself, these little lovely Funktion 1 were involved! MAXIMUM EXPERIENCE YOU GAVE ME and the best days of my life.

This is why I'm buying a Function One System without even hearing it. What is discussed in the video is exactly how I feel about sound quality.
Getting a pair of those X's next year, specifically so I can bring hi quality sound to those that wouldn't normally have access to hearing it.
    Can't wait.

How do you protect your ears from long-term damage and also test listen to your systems as a clubber would hear them?

These people are professionals. I’ve been goin to festivals and music since I was a baby. I can go right next to the speakers at the main stage then be able to hear people from far away.

I always wear plugs for any festival/club or anytime I dj. No way I want to reduce my ability to fully hear great music in the future, it's a no brainer for me

Great question. Look up the WHO Safe Listening info.
Up to 80dBA is considered safe. 80dBA is surprisingly loud in a quiet environment!
And you can listen louder than this for reduced periods of time. For example, 90dBA for a maximum of 4 hours per week.
      It's all about exposure time.
Also you can see in the video they're using PPE (ear defenders) for non-listening work.

I hope that someday you will implement certain standards in your distribution policies in poorer countries. It's sad to see that the same f1 audio equipment in the Netherlands, a country with a much higher standard of living and significantly higher incomes, can be rented for much less than in a poorer country like Poland. This seems very unfair and in need of correction 😕
