How did that work? Did you complete the academy and with that completed your cdl or was it separate? Looking into doing it myself
@@michaelcaricofe1373 The way it for me was, I was put into a online class for week to get ready to take my CDL permit test, after I got my permit they put me on a bus to there academy in SLC, and it was a month long training and at the end of it they tested me to get my actual license and after that I was with a mentor for a month before I upgraded to solo

Hey just wanted to say your videos are great. It is what I feel is a good look into what being a truck driver is like. On job training is what makes a person better at their job. The school for the CDL will teach only so much. The rest is learned actually doing it. By Trial and mistakes. But always learn from others mistakes. Happy New Year!

And chez u should invest in like pee bottles so when u have to go u can go
Just adding Borax to any laundry load will pretty much sterilize any and everything. Borax is the bomb, even kills any "bugs" or germs

Bro I wanted to become a pilot too I had a huge ass smile when I heard you say that. Hard times tho that shit is expensive I only had 20 hours logged. I was pretty close to getting ready to solo but working a warehouse position full time in a retail store wasn't cutting it. I'm thinking about going into trucking as well because from my experience the one other thing I loved the most other than flying and being in the air was driving.

Thank you!!😁 and its hard to explain, but when I see I have a very limited space I try to do my 45 really close to where I’m trying to park so that way my trailer can be pointing to the spot if that even makes sense😂 doing it this way will let me have plenty of room no matter what because I cut it really early, I’ll try to mention it next time I do a tight 45 back it’s better to explain it while I’m doing it😂

Actually turning the ac on is more efficient because if you open the windows you create more drag thus slowing you down so the engine has to work harder and burn more fuel , So in conclusion closings the windows and turning the AC on is more efficient , And one last thing to remember ( less drag + right driving techniques = less fuel consumption )

Do you have your cdl? In school just back up as much as you can practice practice until you dream it. If you go really SLOW and watch for not going past the jackknife you will be able to figure out how to take that baby anywhere you want, watch them back tires (tandems) and your bumper, and of course get out and look for any obstacles, never take for granted that the way is clear. You can do it

you’d definitely miss being home everyday FORSURE but yess its still nice if you have interest getting some experience outside the state, you never know you would love it and stay otr or regional so it doesnt really hurt to try and just come back if you dont like it ((:

are you talking about class C ? if so I had it for 7 years before I went to get my class A not so sure if they would be strict if you just got your class C you might need at least a year but im not 100% sure

Hey im in school now do you think its smart to just do the auto truck to get out of school faster or should i wait and do the manual.. the instructors said it will take a extra 2months to go manual than auto
just go auto bro majority if trucks now a days are automatic, unless you trying to be an o/o in the future and buy an old truck that is manual then thats the only reason I find it very useful

Hey I’m goin to a cdl school after I thought about driving for swift or prime which company you think
honestly if your just trying to get your feet wet and get experience both are not a bad choice because both have good and new trucks but prime really stands out in my opinion when it comes to having nice trucks, some swift trucks are eh lol but no matter who you pick its a good start 👍

Im down in California right now, ive been to that TA, i kinda like 25$ fee and it being gated meaning you get that extra sense of secuirty that noone will rob your trailer in middle of night, that white car roaming around was a security guard, If rojo or rojal used stupidy over basic comon sense then yes he should get 10 years or 110 years, as the escape ramp was the most logical choice, killing 5 people is something he has to live with for the rest of his life, and you cant take those feelings or thoughts away knowing you fucked up :)
