Hell yeah youve been tearing em up early this year Luke!!! We are truly blessed to live in a state with so many different world class fisheries within an hour or less drive from Metro Detroit. Musky, Pike, Salmon, Trout, Walleye, Perch, Sturgeon, Large and Smallmouth Bass, Channel and Flathead catfish ect, ect. And with so many species at our disposal if one of em isn't biting or in season there's always an opportunity to get into something else. I can't wait to get out on the River. Any day now. 👍
I don’t wanna speak TOO loudly but I’ve definitely come out of my slump for sure! There isn’t a better geographical location on the Earth to enjoy life outdoors! As always I appreciate you watching and commenting brother! I hope all is well!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The famous stick bass 🤪. I've had my fair share of them 😄. But I've never had a day of smashing them walleyes like that either 😁good job fellas🤝🏼. Man congrats on that pig thats is awesome! Never got into walleye but that looks like a fun time when your cold 🥶. Thans for sharing and until the next one ✌🏼...Maybe one day I'll see you out on the water.
Thanks for taking the time to check it out man I appreciate it for real! I’m sure we will definitely run into each other out on the water sooner or later!! Take care 🤘🏻
Thanks for watching Rich! It’s a great body of water to fish walleye. Only had about 4” of water clarity but it didn’t seem to effect the bite much! Have a great weekend!
Went yesterday and that same blue with chartreuse tail was the key. Got a three man limit. Four really nice fish but all were solid eaters. Just had to find pockets were the wind wasn't totally screwing you
Thanks for stopping and watching Dug! It was a great time. It definitely can warm up ANYTIME now!! Hopefully when I get back from Spring break it’s starting to feel more like “spring”
You guys hammered them! Amazing job in those rough conditions. Vertical jigging looks like too much fun. That one around the 9:00 mark was such a fatty. That stick fish got ya! It did look like headshake though. And that was too funny when that charter asked how much you got and both of you told him something different 🤣. I've been meaning to ask how do you like those bassx rods? Compared to other st.croix. Great outing Luke 👊🙌
Thanks for watching Jared! It was a knock down drag out quick limit for sure then fun finishing to burn some time. I really like these Bass-x spinning reels man. Normally my Ned rig and drop shot rods but I use them to jig too. Super lightweight! Thanks for watching man! Have a great weekend 🍀
I figured out why that guy has the extension on his trolling motor sticking way up, so the captain running the tiller can see what way his motor is pointing over the guys heads in front of him and use his pedal or remote from the rear, I have the same issue
Great video and great fishing. I have never fished the Saginaw river but think I will give it a try. Where is a good place to launch a small boat? Thanks
Thanks a lot for watching! I appreciate it buddy! I would try zilwuake launch…rust street has a really nice launch as well as Bay City at the battleship.
There is definitely fish in Detroit and I’m hoping to get back down there next week before Spring break! I usually fish mornings for a couple hours before work on weekdays. It’s a perfect time to avoid giant lines at the launch too. Sounds good Kevin! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!
@@TheOutdoorConquest early morning is the best way to go...I handline as well so many times as the sun is coming up...I'm already done with a limit of the bigger fish you get in the dark
Yea we showed up around 1030-11am, caught are limit, probably caught 20+ upgraded a few.. we was the boat talking to u in the video.. fishing turned on around 1pm. I might go Sunday and definitely going Tuesday, Tuesday should be a real nice day
@@tankdog03ify nice man! We had a quick start and then finished strong. Heard they’ve been doing really well pretty much everywhere lately. I might try again Monday but Detroit is heavy on my mind also
Thanks for watching! That spot is called Wickes Park. 43.39306° N, 83.96359° W if you punch those coordinates in your maps it should pull up. Just be aware that section of the river is now closed for walleye until the end of April. Everything up river of that next bridge is open so Rust street/Lee street launch may be a better option if your going before the season opens back up in that stretch of river.
I personally use 3/4oz. Some guys get away with 1/2 oz depending on the current speed but to avoid the hassle I just stick to 3/4 oz and always do well. Thanks for watching! Good luck out there!🤘🏻
another great video I know you guys froze your ass off but it was worth it have you been to port huron recentky ? i think I/m going t try sunday or monday
Thanks for watching!! I haven’t been to PH lately but it’s on my list. Depending on the weather I may be there Monday morning also. I know it was really dirty last week so I’m hoping it cleans up some! Have a great weekend!!
Great video guys!!! Question we fish the D every year but were also gonna hit the Sag in mid april just to try. will it be too late for the run in the sag river by then?
Nice work!! It was a beautiful day to be out there! I was going to go but trying to button up loose ends before we take off on Spring Break. Thanks for watching!
Isn’t the limit in the sag 8 a day it looks like you guys only kept 5 I’m going out this weekend and I looked it up and it says 8 but I don’t want to get in trouble
Where we were fishing the river the limit is only 5 but that section of river is now closed until the end of April. The rest of the river is open and limit is 8! Good luck!
This spot the limit is 5 fish and must be 15 inches.. and is closed from March 15th at midnight until the last Saturday in April.. North of center st bridge is open all year, 8 fish and 13"
Sometimes it will help for sure but I’d rather not need to deal with them. Thanks a lot for stopping and watching! I appreciate it! Have a great weekend!🤘🏻
Wrong. That section of the river ( which is now closed ) you can only keep 5. Below that spot about 1/4-1/2 mile the limit is 8. That spot I was fishing will open back up later in April. Thanks for watching!
This spot fish had to be 15" FYI North of center st bridge u can keep 8 fish above 13" This section is closed from March 15th at midnight until the last Saturday in April..
