I took the overnight sleeper train from Basra to baghdad solo! ..and everything was fine! after going down to basra with a local friend by shared tax ,i ended up having to come back alone. I love to try train travel in different countries and i had seen a couple of other Vloggers that had taken this train, so wanted to see how it was as a solo woman to take this trip! i can honestly say i didn't feel unsafe at all at any point.The lovely ticket lady was so helpful to me, getting me in a cabin that was female only.
I was a bit disappointed that they wouldn't allow mw to film much more on the train , i was just sitting in my cabin alone talking to the camera myslf when that guy that brought me the water " got me" when i was walking to the restaurant carriage! ive seen other vloggers video their whole journey on this train, thats why i didn't think it would be an issue... but it was! so i did as much as i could!
i had a lovely woman share my room with me, we chatted and went for tea together. On the whole it was a good experience for me and you can see how kind and helpful everyone was, starting with the ticket lady ( who i still keep in touch with) to the guys in the snack shop not letting me pay for anything! Huge thanks to my new friends in Basra and everyone else in Basra that went out of their way to help me! i still have more on Basra , but wanted to share this train experience as soon as i could! thanks for watching as always ,

الموظفين يخافون من التصوير في مكان عملهم حتى لايظهر فشلهم او تقصيرهم على وسائل التواصل ...لان هذه الطريقة الوحيدة في العراق التي تؤدي لعقاب الموظف اذا قصر او فشل في عمله ....لان لاتوجد رقابة ادارية في العراق .
التقصير واضح حتى الشرطي اعطاها الكاب تبعه لتلبسه وفي فيديو اخر استوقفها شرطي مرور في بغداد وطلب رقمها بطريقه غير ودية هههه

We tried to take the train too, but when we were in Basra was unfortunately not on the nights that the train ran. At least we get to see how it was now 🙂👍. Yeah, seems like any normal train !

It was a very wonderful trip and the family that hosted you provided the finest kinds of fish and dishes as an expression of respect and appreciation for every guest who comes to them the behavior of the cafeteria worker was personal and I do not think that the state forbids photography in these places I think because of the food in the refrigerators can be subject to criticism because of prices and dealing I think that is welcome again in Baghdad🌷🙏🌹❤️🥰✨🎈🎈🎈💕🌷

لا أدري لماذا الشعب العراقي لا يتعلم اللغه الانكليزيه ؟ وخاصة الموظفين والموظفات العاملين في المراكز التي يتواجد فيها الأجانب .
Personally I have seen the reason.
They don't practise, many people may learn it but usually it is unused.
Meaning their language skills are quite bad until they move to a nation when they are required to speak the language.

I believe the guy who asked u to not film .. he don't know himself if that is ok or not, many other tourists i have seen their videos, they were allowed to film without any problem!
He went to another guy which I assume was his boss ... the girl that came to my cabin explained to them what I was doing , both him and the “manager” in a suit on the train and they told her I wasn’t allowed which was weird as I’ve seen other vloggers allowed .. even the train driver was happy for me to video the train .. but the boss said no 🤷♀️
@@WanderingEmma what that guy did and his boss said are totally no sense, i can see how sad you were in the video because you couldn't complete your video, but it's fine, the "train" journey is finished, you can start to take a new video somewhere else. What was wierd that you were not allowed to use your camera even in your carbine!! That was a total BS from their side, it could be because of another vloger that was exposed to a very bad joke from a policeman abroad the train, i guess u know what i am talking about ..
@@enkidu77 yes I know what you mean .... 👍🏼 and yes , it was nonsense that they told me I wasn’t even “allowed “ to video in my cabin .. alone 🤷♀️ I still did record as much as I could, but being alone I didn’t want to “push it “ too far ... I just wanted to show the whole experience as a woman traveling alone ... but I got enough to give a good idea I hope 😊
