have done many'a polyester DTF prints. probably thousands. I think it works better then on cotton. I don't know if it works with the press that you have, but one technique is to wrap your shirt around your press platen. easier to keep things centered, and make sure there are no wrinkles or folds.

*You can press DTF on Any Type of Apparel. You can even Press DTF on Wood. There are 4 Different Types of DTF Powder to Accommodate this.*

This is great but just out of curiosity why did you lower the heat to 275 verses 325? Dtf prints usually press at higher temp.
You are pressing your dtf transfers based off of a general standard that everyone goes by. I challenge you to take a moment and think about what is more important, the transfer or the garment. Polyester is a different fabric than cotton, Cotton is different than silk. Silk is different than nylon. Why would you press them all the same? You have to think about what you are doing and not be afraid to experiment and adjust. If i would have pressed at the normal temperature then it is possible that the press would have scotched the garment. Then I’d have a burned shirt with a nice design. Useless. It’s necessary to adjust when you need to adjust and not just go by what you are taught. You have to think for yourself and do what makes sense. They transferred just as good at a lower temperature and the garment did not scortch. You can press on many different materials but all materials are not the same so they should not be pressed the same. Even some cotton is thinner and sine is thicker. Some garments are flammable at certain temperatures. You have to use you judgment and adjust. Make sense?
I normally press my transfers at 300 for 10 seconds. I’ve never pressed at 325.
@@adubbproductions thanks for the quick reply and yes it makes complete sense. But using 100% polyester material for sublimation at 390-400 degrees for 50-60 seconds depending on the press has never scorches my garment. Hence the reason for my question. It’s the darker 50/50 blend colors that get damaged from heat application. Polyester has high temp resistance so at 315-325 for dtf seems reasonable. I searched for a video like yours because I’ve never don’t dtf on polyester material and wasn’t sure if it feels good against the skin of someone who works outside during the summer months. It should be
@@FLYNIQ Good point. That slipped my mind you are right. Still why press at a higher temp when you don’t need to. Always good to experiment and see what works and what doesn’t.
