My theory is that Charles wanted to create a second body for himself, since his body is now old and one armed. So, he created a clone body based on James Lee’s physicality because James Lee is perfect being. He simply created the four major crews so that they can fund him for the project. But after the body is created, an accident might have occurred which results in Daniel Park receiving the body instead. You can see that Daniel lives in the same house that Charles used to be living in. On the episode where Charles stomps Daniel, you can see how pissed he was saying that Daniel receive such a gem for granted.
