the realistic flight model introduces a lot of learned skill in air combat many pilots have not realized, you can turn faster and tighter by lowering collective and you can even force them to crash if they are heavier.
For a seasoned pilot like I am this was very helpful. Out of my 1000h in this game so far most of them are in helicopters and vehicles. This certainly applies and I was able to learn about the missing detail for the autorotation. I knew about your tailrotor technique and the J-Hook which I am pretty decent with but not even close to the conistency you have. Have you planned more videos about the actual attack choppers? Now I don't need them exactly, because i didnt spend much time in the CAS Pawnee but I was in Attack Choppers alot with mates. What i see many people do is keeping the internal rocketpods on the blackfoot extended and compromising the Stealthcapabilities it has, if you plan on making such a video this is a detail I would include cause it is so nice to just vanish of the radar. Either way you did an amazing job on these so far. Cheers from a fellow Pilot.

I feel like your games are a little more fluid than mine... This could be DDR4. So I've ran a couple of OC testing again : won 200MHz ( : and ordered a freesync monitor. I'm going to build website for arma3 koth and tips with gameplay because this is one entry point of many noobs. Framework is ready, server is up. And I'll be doing some video edits, but nowhere near your quality! IrL keeps me too much busy : P
Just wanna correct you when you said AA tanks can't see you if you can't see them. There's a thing called Data link, basically makes it so gunships and AAs can share radar info with each other. This will be a problem for pawnees because it means if you are visible to one vehicle with radar on their team, all the other vehicles will be able to see you and even track you trough hills
Ahhhh that's a fatal error of mine. I completely forgot. Do you know if data link is enabled in KOTH? I know certain Arma vanilla features have been tweaked/disabled in KOTH, but I'm not certain about the data link. For vanilla scenarios, you are 100% correct about that. CallMehTOMMEH not sure if they're enabled in all servers across communities but at least in the HT servers they are. I've experienced it myself in a Tigris, Pawnee trying to flank me and I was tracking it trough a hill all the time until he popped out. Either way this is a great video for beginners, wish it existed a year ago when I started playing around with pawnees, good job

Some times its not the controls, but how you play. It would be godly if you could just change your controls and it would make you as good as tommeh. Yet what you MUST do is find controls and stick to it. You must practice in editor or in normal KOTH. Find people who can teach you how to fly/ how to get better at flying. I had no clue how to fly going into arma 3, yet I found an ArmA 3 unit and joined air where they taught me the basics of flying and the advance like autorotation and such. TLTR: Practice, Watch youtube videos, Attempt to get better over time. Its no instant on getting better, it takes time and practice.
As Nado succinctly said, it's all about the practise. I don't know what sensitivity will be optimal for you. You have to fiddle with things like mouse DPI, Windows sensitivity and Arma sensitivity. I wish you the best man, and let me know if you have any more problems! :-)

With AFM you can do some too, but bleeding speed becomes very dangerous I feel like it is a complete new game. Also axis curves are a big factor. This is far beyond the scope of the control in the game now. NB: The Taru has been nerfed, it was possible to do crazy manoevers at the time! But with NAvid there is no real point to fly well... if one adjust your Lz, then you're paper thin
"Jet pilot, please make sure you fly slowly, in a straight line, at a low altitude, so that I can do a demo video." Unless the jet is being flown by an 11-year-old (who badly has to use the bathroom), your pawnee, no matter how well flown, is no match for a jet with missiles. The correct response is not to follow you, of course. it's to climb, so that your terrain dodging is useless, and shoot you from above. The plane has speed, range, flight envelope, and payload package on its side. No way a decent pilot gives that up. I love turning on and off the radar to make the helo pilot jink and send him in to hs (predicatable) evasion run. Then it's up and two to the tail, and your mom gets a visit from the DoD. Of course, if you only play against the AI, well, A3 vehicle AI is a little better than Minecraft zombie I AI, but not much. Loving the parts where you speed up your video to make something look a lot harder than it actually was. The Track IR4 or 5 is your friend, though. So true. Makes flying fun, and will make you infinitely more lethal in combat.
Please point out where exactly I speed up my clips. I have not done so. Please backup your assertions with evidence before making them. Also I have multiple clips of me shooting down jets with the Pawnee. It can be done, especially in more chaotic and public game modes like KOTH, which is the kind of audience this video is intended for. Thanks for the comment!

all of these tips proved futile when most of my heli fights dont include the crosshair and have to use the marker dot and i mainly have far chase battles in helis
The new crosshair is stupid. I wish they did away with it and added the old one. I was so efficient at aiming with that one... only solution really is to practice like mad with the new aiming :/
If you get shot down by a heli in a jet you are making extremely poor decisions as a pilot, if you over shoot or risking over shooting keep your speed abort your approach and make another pass that simple, you’ll be well out of effective range of the helo’s weapons by the time they get their nose on you
Haha I wanted to demonstrate the rockets working effectively and instead I disabled the jet, the AI pilot bailed and I shot him out of rage for my potato aim. Sorry Geneva Convention ;-)
