    These deep cut filming locations are always less well received than others but I truly enjoy doing that . If a select few find true enjoyment out of seeing obscure spots from cinema history then I’m content . Thanks so much for watching !

      Also fun horror fact…a lot of the crew…second units, VFX, etc went shortly right after to work on Hellraiser III! They started it about a month after CotC2 up in the Greensboro area. We went to visit the crew and I got to meet Doug Bradley (Pinhead) pre-makeup test.

    What makes this even more nostalgic is the fact that there was no social media and internet around back then. These videos take you right to a particular era. It's happy and sad at the same time because you know how different life is now and how much older you have gotten and how much time has passed on but it makes you think of all of the Happy Days you had. I think this is why people of a certain age cherish these things more than the kids today because they grew up with all this technology and always had access to things. We had to get to the movie theater at least 30 minutes before the movie started to see all of the previews and you would have to remember what's coming out when and you were so excited.

    This is why I love your channel, Adam. I pass through Ramseur all the time on my way to an auction out that way and also once a year on my way to the Liberty Antique Festival and I pass the exact locations you show and I had NO IDEA they were Children of the Corn II filming locations

    I grew up in Ramseur and remember well when this movie was filmed! The building at the beginning of the movie had corn in the basement until they tore it down. The old ladies house was brought in for the movie and they left it there. Crazy to see this, thanks for the walk down memory lane!

    Wow, that takes me back. I worked on Children of the Corn 2 (w/the SFX crew) way back in1991. We were responsible for sending the wheelchair through the window, lowering the "house" on the old lady, burning a house down and shooting a cornstalk through a windshield, etc., etc. It was a lot of fun and a lot of work. I wish I could have got up w/you I could've told you about some of the behind the scenes drama, lol.
    Don't forget "Hellraiser 3" was shot right after that in Greensboro, High Point, & Winston Salem.
    (I got to body double for Pinhead. :-) )

    As a child i was weirdly obsessed with this movie for a few years, and wanted so badly to visit where it was filmed. I grew up in New York, so these locations were obviously very different from my neighborhood. This is really cool to see! Thank you. Oh yea I heard on the Good bad flicks youtube channel, they mention that Mrs Burkes house actually belonged to a family who was really moving and taking their house and the filmakers convinced the family to delay moving the house until filming was completed. If that's the case I wonder if that's really the same house? It looks the same, maybe the family decided not to move after all? lol..Whatever the case, thanks again, this was great!

    Talking about the Doc giving the kids suckers after the quick check up, reminded me of when I was a kid. I went to my local barber as always, only this time, I was equipped with my new Game boy Pocket my Mama bought me for Xmas. She asked, I said that, she got it. I will always cherish that memory., Anyway, so i was usually good at sitting still anyway, but not all kids were. some people were waiting on me to finish, with a kid who was going nuts. I said "he can play my gameboy if he doesnt drop it" The kid sat there quiet, the entire time. The next time I went back, the Barber had bought his own Gameboy with Tetris and something else, for people to play. IDK why that came to mind, or why I even bothered sharing it.

    • @BeeTeePee
      @BeeTeePee 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Very wholesome memory. You made an impact on that barber & he probably made many little boys have good memories of going to the barber that let them play his Gameboy.

    This was cool Adam! I actually tried out to be an extra in COTC II in Liberty - my friends & I were prob in middle school - didn't make the cut tho, lol! My mom worked in Liberty when I was very small & I would go to work with her sometimes, I remember a dime store where I get toys, a diner, and an old classic movie theatre (early 80s), it was my first memory of a small downtown! Also - Snow Camp Outdoor Theatre is trying hard to revive w/ the help of Studio 1 in Burlington (a great local theatre group I once worked with). A lot of the actors in that area are part of the well-known Hollywood Horror Show Haunted House during Halloween. It's been years since I've been to it (in FL now) - but some of my most scared, but impressed, memories come from their well-done haunted experience! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

LOVED them both! God I miss double features. Thanks for the great video. Need to watch Children of the Corn II... sounds like it's a fun watch. I usually watch all the 80s horror movie sequels, but I strangely haven't for these 2 franchises.

    So I don't think I've ever seen the movie, however I might need to after you sharing everything that you have here. I did have one question.. he said that little woman went flying through the window during a bingo game and a man said bingo.. just to clarify, did he say bingo after she had flown through the window or before? Because if he said it after, now that's just comedy gold, in my opinion. Thank you so much for sharing Adam! Looking forward to the next video.

    Fire departments, especially rural ones do burn down old dilapidated buildings all the time. That was probably true.

    So my uncle owns the house and land the corn field was on you showed after the waterfall. That house has been there since Civil War and was used as a headquarters . Very haunted and documented as such. I can get you in no problem inside house is cool .

      My 2 best friends named their oldest sons Micah & Damien even though I'm the lover of horror movies & I had picked out those names, but I gave them my blessings because I had my son last. So he ended up being a McKinley because of The Final Destination series.

    Adam, as a Southerner, you should be able to recognize magnolia trees and know they don’t drop their leaves in the fall! They are not deciduous trees! That’s why you think they have “ a lot of leaves” on them in February!Fin fact -?you were born in “The Magnolia State” of Mississippi!
