An escape?
I see a scorpion learned from a certain roach
Beautiful scorps, but I see a big problem. That background will allow tiny i2 babies to reach the air vent. You definitely do not want those loose in your Dark Den, digging in your leaf litter bin.
The holes look to be around 5mm, so I think the smaller scorpions are too big to fit through.
@@Helveteshit If the scorpions reproduce again, the babies will probably be small enough for the vents

The uv light footage was amazing and I never knew plants went red under UV light, that was just so cool. Your girls are little escape artists. This was a fun one to watch 🦂🥰

I used to be petrified of spiders, but after stumbling across your channel, watching, learning I’ve grown a real appreciation for them....tonight was the first time I’ve managed to put a glass over a spider and remove it from my house instead of killing it in fear, I’m actually quite amazed how you have helped me

you should stick with just coco fiber if you are worried about mold. Potting soil will have mold spores in it 100% of the time and contains nutrients that the mold will feed on.

I might be wrong but I think that little plant that glows red is called Peperomia rotundifolia, the common name is jade necklace. Pretty popular in terrariums I think

UV light is stressful for scorpions and can even cause death. Make sure your black light doesn’t have UV in it if you use it to find them often

Chlorophyll naturally fluoresces in red under uv light, so you can try it with any plant it should work.
We use this property in biology to spot the chloroplasts in plant cells

Under the stronger version of UV lapm light so many arthropods, plants, fungus and lichen glow. So maybe sometimes check the other enclousers with the UV lamp. :D

I am red/green colour blind. Used to have times when red and green would flip. Really interesting seeing the world with red grass and trees. Now I just can't see green. Looks like a brownish grey, makes the world look dead. Seeing those plants in the UV light reminded me of when I could see the world in a pretty way.

Feed the scorpions under UV light as they are not that bothered with it.
Do you know that exactly shining black light or ultraviolet on glowing scorpions does enormously harm them when prolonged ?
In scorpions, exposure to ultraviolet light can cause blindness, stress, and even death. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light also lessens the intensity of their fluorescent glow. So, if you are raising scorpions, it’s important to keep them out of prolonged direct sunlight as well as UV light although it it is cool to see them glow.
Aren't you just a lot more prone to mold in enclosures since you don't use water dishes? I imagine that way you have to spray down all your enclosures and then there is not a lot of ventilation, so I guess it just becomes more likely to catch some mold from time to time.
I think the piece of plant you love is Muehlenbeckia axillaris (creeping wire vine)

They only glow under Ultraviolet light. It is actually really dangerous for them

it looks so easy to hold them with tweezers, they are so smol 🦂 harder for me with P. imperator L6 cause he is a lil bit too big for the tweezers haha
I believe the reason the plants are red is because red can travel the furthest other than any other colour so for example plants in the ocean use red as a way to get the best out of photosynthesis.
