    If this was proper comparison why not compare a Remo Ambassador against an Evans G1 or a Remo Emperor against an Evans G2.
    Not a Remo Ambassador against an Evans G2 which according to your description you did.
    Single ply against Double ply?

    I have always gravitated towards and used Remo drum heads. They seem to have more tone & life to them than Evans drum heads. I especially love the Coated Emperor & Clear Pinstripe heads the most.

    Kick - emad, toms - remo, snare - both good

  • @danlc95

    They both sound great. I've not found an Evans snare head I liked, but this one sounded good.
    That crisp, sensitive, balanced tonality of the Remo was vary famaliar and pleasing to my ears.

    My 2 main reasons for my choice of Evans is based on the sound of the snare and the kick. The Remo seemed to just have too many overtones on the snare. Maybe just the tuning?

    Never liked the sound or feel of evans heads. Most evans heads I have tried sound sterile and lifeless to me. Remo sounds great but they are not durable at all. I find Aquarian is a good middle ground and they make plenty of different kinds of heads too.

    • @12ealDealOfficial

      12ealDeal where you from Aquarian is definitely higher in price just singular heads alone. But packs is like $12 higher than Remo or Evans packs it's ridiculous that's why I won't switch to them I love their brand other than their Damn prices.

    I've played Remo sincr I started drumming but as time went on I decided to try Evans and so far Evans has been giving me the sound I've been searching for for years! I'm very pleased with Evans and even tho both drumhead companies make some great heads I personally think I'm gonna stick with Evans.

  • @yessitsme6884
    @yessitsme6884 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Remo sounds more alive, more vibrant. Evans is a bit more dead, which is why I guess some people say Evans are "easier to tune". Less overtones = more controllable. But I'd rather have a vibrant sound that I can tame to taste, than start deader and not be able to add life to it.

    EQ wise the remo snare head had more hi end and hi mids. A bit harsh for me but nothing an EQ couldn’t sort out. I like the chunkiness of the evans snare head but the lo mids made it sound a tiny bit muddy. I’d go for the evans snare head over the remo
