Hi Gizaudio, love your reviews. I need some advice and hope you could help. Right now I own the beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro, really love them, few months back I bought the KZ ZSX. Somehow I was really suprised when comparing them to the DT 1990 Pro. I'm looking for an upgrade, budget up to 500 dollars. I listen mainly to hiphop, rap, r & b and pop music. Which one would you recommend. I really like bass, but I need to hear details as well in the mid section when editing. The issue I have with the KZ ZSX is the sibilance I get with some songs. Thank you!
Yo! Thanks for commenting man! I own the DT 1990 Pro as well, great pair! As for $500 budget I'd like to stretch that a small amount and suggest you the Moondrop Variations. It is $530 I believe but it's perfect for what you are looking for. It has more subbass than midbass giving you the natural bass to midrange transition. Midrange is very well separated with amazing clarity in both male and female vocals. The treble is done well and is quite revealing in terms of details, there's also a sense of air giving this a wider feeling stage. Hope this helps! :)
Awesome review as always! How would you compare the soundstage on the Mest mkii vs monarch. I'm kind of a soundstage junky and want the widest IEM possible. Perhaps you have other suggestions ☺️? Thanks!

I really like your content, especially the details of your explanations. You really point out the pros and cons of the iems. With iem's I only tried a few. I have tried the chu, which was nice for the price. And I've bought the Shure 846, which I really liked, because of the clarity and the details and found nothing to complain about... till now. I think I sometimes get tired to listen to them because of the treble. And I sometimes think that the bass is somewhat weird (not sure if it's a bit flat or not as much dynamic). Also the cable is just really annoying. So I was viewing your Videos to find another Iem in the 1000-2000€ price range to consider.

Oracle if you want the most realistic vocals and instruments + powerful mid bass Variations if you want details, amazing separations, subbass, and wide staging. I've had the FiiO BTR5 2021 for a little over a month, and this thing is incredible for a portable Bluetooth DAC/amp. 80 mW @ 32 Ohms for the 3.5 mm single-ended port and 250 mW @ 32 Ohms for the 2.5 mm balanced port is plenty of power for basically any IEM. I like that it supports LDAC (I use that on my S21 Ultra) and aptX HD on Bluetooth, and if you use the USB-C as an input, it can handle MQA, DSD256, and PCM 384 KHz. I even use it to drive my Sennheiser HD 58X headphones on the balanced port. For ~$120 USD, it's hard to beat it. The Qudelix 5K ($109) is also good from what I've heard in reviews, especially if you like to EQ your stuff. The EarStudio ES100 ($100) is a pretty popular choice, too.
