@@JussiValtanen Single player DLC that they then later repurposed for gta online and drip fed for years. Thats the scummy part about it. The hunter attack helicopter was in the games files since launch and they waited till 2017 to finally add it. They have been drip feeding us all for years
Also lets not forget the gta definitive edition. Instead of remaking the old classics faithfully. They get some company to do an ai upscale of the old games and botch it completely with it still being broken to this day..

Of course. GTA is like COD. Its the basic game that everyone likes Even if is bad people will still play and buy it. People are still playing gta online despite it being a incompetently designed grind fest of a slog designed to make you spend as much money as possible.
I Will stick to my guns. Cause I already know how gta 6 is gonna go when it comes out next year. I don't care how detailed or good it is. Most gamers may forget everything rockstar has done for the past decade. but I wont and I hope you guys can too. They have alot to do, to amend everything they have done and they have shown zero sign of doing that.

Every game rockstar has directly worked on themselves so far has been fun as hell. The definitive edition doesn't really count because either rockstar or take two gave that to another studio so they didn't actually do the work.
I like their strategy of taking several years to develop one great game, instead of being like Ubisoft or most of the other big studios who try to shit out a half baked game every year.
If every big name studio used the rockstar strategy they would have more time to actually fill the massive open worlds they keep trying to make and it would make people more likely to spend time in their game because it has more to do, and we know it won't just be replaced next year.
Either way I'm still not preordering because that's a foolish move. I'll wait until I can see some real gameplay.

Rockstar is far from the worst company in the gaming world. From my perspective I've seen them release my two favorite games I've had the pleasure of experiencing (and that's just in the last ten years if you look further it's at least half of my top ten).
Even the handful of times I've played GTA online I had a lot of fun playing with my friends. I will admit it wasn't on PC so modders weren't as bad, but I've always just enjoyed myself.

Remember when they updated RDR2 about a year after its release and added a bug that made everyone in camp say "Aren't you cold?" no matter what you were wearing, then left that in the game for another 2 years before bothering to fix it?
I always thought it was intentional to try and push people towards the truly god-awful online mode, which they then also abandoned.
Late reply, but I think that the bug was never fixed and the feature was just disabled. Also, what I know about R* and game development in general (which admittedly, is not much), would suggest that their code is a mess and any changes could ruin atleast a dozen or more other features. My point is that it probably wasn't intentional and probably drove people away from RDR2 as a whole and not just the story mode.
With basically none of the original staff, half a decade of awful decisions and bad micro transactions in their games, no wonder people are concerned about GTA 6, it will either be the greatest W or the greatest L in gaming history, and unfortunately the latter seems to be most likely.
I am more worried that its gonna be a loss. but a loss that people will defend and pretend isn't a loss just because its rockstar games. Thats what worries me. Whats worse than something being bad. is something thats bad that everyone tries to gaslight you into thinking its good.

I'm glad I'm finally seeing someone being realistic about this. Everywhere I see people hyping it up saying it has to be or will be good because 1. it's Rockstar and 2. it's been in development so long. I probably will pass up GTA 6 because I don't really enjoy GTA 5 as is, story mode and online included. Hopefully it'll be good, the gaming community and Rockstar themselves need it. It's also infuriating how everyone keeps defending them saying it's Take Two not Rockstar, both need to be held accountable Rockstar are just as complacent.
8:28 just a small correction, the cars are no longer accessible to buy from the ingame websites but are possible to get by some other in game methods like the auto shop that you can buy, the Simeon’s car dealership, the LS car meet by buying a copy from other players and the test vehicless, also by winning the podium vehicle at the casino and by buying them from the premium deluxe Motorsport which is still annoying

GTA 5 had so much potential, the many canceled Story Mode DLCs, expansion of GTA 5 and Online map, and finishing multiple in constructive buildings.
We could have had "North Yankton Stories" where we'd maybe see Michael and Trevor's past lives committing crimes and live their lives there. It's heartbreaking.
They had so many ideas like the ones you mentioned but also some crazy ones like making Trevor into a secret agent ala James Bond (with comical psycho twist) or Zombies vs Aliens one which could been fun

I am not gonna bother with gta 6. I don't care how advanced it is. Most of gta online is just cut single player DLCs content. All of it was. Doomsday heist was supposed to be a Trevor agency DLC, Arena wars was a zombie DLC at one point. The hunter attack helicopter was in the games files since launch and it took them till 2017 to finally add it. They have been playing us all like a fiddle. they take a few months to work on a DLC and than arbitrarily drip feed to milk as much money as possible from people. Everything about gta online is designed to make you want to buy shark cards. Everything is designed to be bad on purpose and doesn't get fixed till years later. They have made so many updates to make gta online completely unfun to play and they have constantly treated the player base poorly.
Lets not forget how poorly they treated Red dead online or the countless of franchises they left to rot. The last decade of rockstar games has been so disrespectful to the fans and proven they are shells of their former selves. They used to be the awesome company that cared about making well crafted games and sticking to their guns about the content in their games and telling political activists to screw off when they complained about the games. Now they bend the knee those those people. Jack Thompson won in the end and I hate to admit that. I doubt gta 6 is gonna have the same love or care put in as past games and it pains me to say that. I am gonna bet they will find some way to put shark cards in the single player or some way to do it in gta online. Because modern rockstar have proven all they care about is milking as much cash as possible from their players and treating us all like they we don't know any better.
Agree but look on the bright side. At least RDR2 players werent forced with 20gb updates that added lore breaking, flying horses with missiles.
For me the killing blow to my respect for R* was how they disrespected their legacy.
How they didn't just allow the Defective Edition but decided to replace some of their best games with it.
If they cant be bothered to preserve and care about the games and fans that made them the giant they are today then why should we expect GTA 6 to be a masterpiece?
Even in that case i doubt they still have the edge, talent, passion and humour with how many OG's that has been fired or quitted.
@@lm9029 Yeah I completely agree with everything you said, you took the words right out of my mouth. I am glad you pointed out the lore breaking gta online does. That's another reason I forgot to mention. Online screwed up so much of the lore from gta 4 to 5. How can you expect anyone to be invested in gta 6s story when there are flying broomsticks and futuristic doomsdays in the story. Gta san Andera's at least was subtle about those things and made them work within the universe.
Also I did forget to mention the nerfs rockstar put onto gta onlines fun and well paying activity. It always made me so mad hearing rockstars excuse of "oh we want players to cooperate." No they don't they just want them to be pressured into buying shark cards.

@@dvd.- nigga, the npc John Marston model is literally there and they could've used that, instead they made his face look worse, changed his hair color to black, and they even fucking have Arthur's puke animation and sound on him, and as of the latest version, his body is literally Arthur's body, and there's glitches like revolvers and pistols clipping out of the holster, an issue that doesn't occur when you play as Arthur, they literally made him worse than he was in version 1.00 and even fixed the good glitches of the game, such as being able to close Arthur's winter coat. Listen, I love this game and all but it has flaws, you can't wear a hat over some masks that should let you be able to wear a hat over them, the navy revolver being very popular in western movies and games is limited to online, and the same goes for ponchos, basic features that were in RDR 1 like robbing banks in free roam and unlimited random bounties put everyday, bribing witnesses are completely missing from the RDR 2 and one of these features are literally in RDO, like bruh they already stopped supporting the online mode, why can't we just get the clothing and guns and some features in storymode? And story related outfits are not even saved in the wardrobe even after completing the story, a feature which was in GTA 5, they don't even bother to add the most basic yet valuable requests such as opening a vest or closing a coat.
@@dvd.- RDR 2 is super overrated. Last time I was playing that game I could only play it for an hour. Within that hour I only had LEGIT played the game for 10 minutes out of the 60. All I did mostly in that hour was watch cutscenes, ride a horse which is just more hidden cutscenes that you're forced to hold the analogue stick up to, then I got caught and was literally WALKING in cuffs during YET AGAIN just more "hidden" cutscenes. The game SOOOO BORING! Then when there is action? It's just a VERY basic 3rd person shooter with a slow mo feature that's been around since Max Payne one came out in early 2000's. If I wanted to watch a cowboy movie I'd throw on Westworld, I want to play a game. And the controls are SO clunky as hell, everything takes forever to do because you have to go through all the slow clunky animations. Honestly if I was 12 years old? I'd absolutely love RDR2 but I've been playing games since before the original Nintendo came out.

Tbh, i don't hate R*. I am just disappointed with Western AAA and R* lost what made them pretty cool. Like the fact they reused GTA V for THREE systems when adding it for PS4 and then clearly prioritizing online instead of SP shows their decline in my eyes.
It's funny that people went after Ubisoft the crew but not Rockstar for GTA taking them off steam after we purchased the game
Ubisoft literally deleted The Crew from player's libraries altogether, basically stealing the game they bought.

I hate the Trilogy Definitive Edition! They are so effortless - they just copy pasted 20 year old games on Unreal Engine, which just added nicer graphics, but also added tons of game breaking bugs! They didn't even remade the models or added new features!
GTA online = no immersion, constant phone calls, missions you can't play (because under leveled or don't own the correct business) all the while getting blown up by orbital cannons and flying motorcycles. Online sucks. Single player is where it's at.
An important thing to add to the cayo perico heist nerfs. It was the first heist that was doable as a solo player. A lot of players asked for such a way to earn money, because everyone knows how horrible the experience is with random players that just always mess up a mission/heist. So the nerfs were just a punch in the face of players, who took the time and effort to grind this heist solo. I played this heist a lot. And the comparison between release and the nowadays state is shocking. And that's not even it. They also included a new system for the guards. After you steal the main target, a bunch of new guards spawn in. And they are able to see dead bodies, even if they respawn. So you can't just eliminate all guards in hitman-style, you actively have to avoid them which is horrible given the clunky movement of gta. Not to mention the keycards you need to open El Rubios hidden stashes, which only drop randomly after you take out a certain guard. The heist is probably still the most reliant way for a solo player to make money, but it's a shell of its former self.
We can hate Rockstar games all we want, even if its well earned, its not going to stop them. Grand Theft Auto VI, whether its humor is not "offensive" anymore, or its story is hot garbage, or if its a buggy mess, it will succeed. Millions of people and maybe more will buy this game. Even if people realize its disappointment, whether its "woke," unplayable, or unbearable, it will still crank in a lot of money. Which means, unless we were all to know what was to come with our game (which we don't), we would all have to collectively not purchase it just so Rockstar can listen. But lets be honest, NOBODY is going to do that. And thats just what sucks the most

Pirating GTA 6 is justified now
I'm an avid GTA Online player that basically do grinding (I play on private servers), but now even with the Chop Shop update or the Cluckin Bell one, I'm already maxed out in my garage space and everything is boring. The only garage space available is, guess where? GTA+! I mean, there's no really incentive to play it again. I have all properties, I have more money that I can spend on, my fascination towards GTA is the cars, buying them, modding them and cruising on them, but there's nothing interesting in it anymore. And yes, all that scummy behavior they've been doing in the last years has been shit.
I truly worry about GTA VI. I'm a fan, I love the series but... what cab that fawkface Strauss Zelnick and his bunch of execs do to fuck up GTA with greedy action, we dn't know, but we no longer respect Rockstar Games and Take Two Interactive.
Just wait until GTA 6 comes out and everyone magically forgets everything wrong rockstar did so far..... Until they do it again with GTA 6 online.
Also remember the dripfeed on GTAO, previously it was bearable as most of the content was released on day 1 and what was left on the dripfeed usually was around half of the vehicles wich they started releasing at a rate of 1 vehicle per week but a while ago they've changed that... Now only about half of the update was released on day 1 as they dripfed missions, random events, weapons, etc. as well as more than half of the vehicles, releasing them at a rate of about 1 vehicle per 2 weeks wich overall would extend the dripfeed for several months
You need more recognition man, the dedication you put in your videos is amazing and more than some millions subscriber channels.
Let's just ignore all the good games they have put out and just focus on one game and two online modes

Those online lobbies are full of modders and hackers making the experience literally unplayable, but if you want to create a private modded server so you can actually play the game with friends without being messed with, or want to play on an RP server, you get you account banned for "modding" almost immediately.

The last game I gave Take2/Rockstar Money for was Max Payne 3....The year it released. I am very grateful for that experience, and that's that. GTA5 and RDR2 didn't get a single penny from me, so GTA6 is going to follow suit. It isn't even the same company that wowed me, when MP3 came out anymore. World is full of games to play, and I'm happy with GTA4 being my last GTA experience.

Rockstar is the black sheep of gaming. It is quite clear that they care little for their other projects and are strictly focused on perfectingGTA 6 and making it a masterpiece. I don’t excuse Rockstars decisions, but we must be wise and understand the great impact that GTA 6 will have not just on the gaming industry, but the industry as a whole.
In GTAO you still can buy the removed vehicles but only in the stores around the map where are few that change every week
GTA 6 won’t release and RDR2 will never get a next gen update.
Things Rockstar did wrong:
- Nerfed the lazer for no reason
- There is no an easy way out. Terrible since if you're stuck in the middle of nowhere, you have to walk a lot.
- Removing cars
- Car upgrades not being released in PC
- Updating the policy of the game by saying no griefing anymore while the game encourages you to do it
- Buying FiveM
- Again, updating FiveM policy by saying no griefing anymore and changing things
- GTA Definitive Edition being released
- Ignoring the community
- Adding an Oppressor so op
- Payouts are not balanced with heists
- Not updating old heists, plus 4 player being a requirement is still sad. Though, it's fine as it is
- PS4 and Xbox one users not having further dlc or updates
- Not updating GTA 4 and leaving it as a terrible game. Of course, our dear modders doing the hard work
- Bully, really, Rockstar? That thing is way worse than DMC 3 Special Edition from the Ubisoft Port
- Removing the original games from the store
- RDR Online having no updates and if so, only cosmetics for cash grab
- Again, terrible port for PC
- Banning innocent people for no reason and cheaters still get away with it
- GTA Online feels pay-to-fast
- Removing DLCS FROM THE CAMPAIGN, SO THE ONLINE GETS THE CONTENT. If only both got the dlcs :(

Biggest and worst thing for me is that they are "working"(for 10+ years) on GTA 6(notice how i use " ") and only when someone leaked some test footage do they start really working and showing progress
@RandomHuman1103 i mean, they have been working on gta 6 since gta 5 got released. However, the full team didn't work on it until they finished rdr 2. Of course, as they update the engine, so do they with their games. The only thing that they do wrong is how they prioritise online services over games. I still think online games such as cod won't hold up for too long unless they remove cheaters. PVE is the way to go in all games IMO since you do not need people to play with, no online services unless playing with friends, you own a game, you can mod it, and most importantly no cheaters can interfere. However, money is money and its way better for them to sell online rather than PVE games
@@Diamond-ji2gv Ok you msinly focus on online(and thats ok).But lets do some math for a moment,from 2001 to 2005 much smaller R* made around 10 good/great games,than from 2006 to 2009 they made few games+2 big DLCs and 4 years later they made a massive and complex game(Gta5)...But since 2014 they are "working" on a complex game that still isn't finished and they only made one more game+trashy trilogy...Like come one,team is much bigger and so is the budget,but somehow gta 6 is "too big and complex"😆
@RandomHuman1103 leaning gta definitive edition aside, mainly because rockstar didn't do it, games are very complicated and the engineering behind it is top tier. Imagine creating animations for each character depending on the personality and feelings. That's tremendously complicated and doesn't take 1 month to finish it. I won't say GTA 6 was always the main target because RDR 2 was first and then the online, but I do believe 20% of the workers from Rockstar were developing gta 6 while also finishing RDR 2. Remember that nowadays games are very complicated and rockstars' standards are very high for single-player games. Lastly, I think they are making a over complicated game, so then, the industry has to adapt to gta 6's standards and on top of that, giving them some time to get more creative. I still miss old rockstar tho with their jokes and memes. Indie developers are the ones that will make the best games from year to year whereas rockstar will make timeless games.
For me, it was the neglect and lazy approach to Red Dead Online that killed Rockstar Games for me.
Ubisoft is even worse (they took away The Crew 1 and don't care about players)
I'm still hot that they abandoned rdr2 most likely cause they couldn't think of more ways to milk the players of more money, and just to focus on gta5 which in my personal opinion was just plain boring.
If they tried to milk rd2 online as much as GTA some random kids flying on rocket powered horses burping plasma and farting landmines would be a common sight on the plains of wild west...
I especially hate how there are gamers eating up all the leftovers and undercooked filth these companies are giving us from games to updates and changes.

Wow, not even GTA 6 changed everyone’s minds.
I remembered my love for Rockstar died, the negligence of Red Dead online and when they forced daily task bounty streaks to be reset after 28 days I believe. I am ashamed of past self that I was actually excited to login during the weekly reset to find a new pair of boots... I won't forget that they nerfed the money for fish you sale too.
8:33 the sell price effected nobody and was made to get rid of car dupe glitches, the first payphone nerf didn't make it horrible but more balanced considering 85K for an easy 5 mins or less mission with no cooldown is nuts and the second was a buff since they removed the cooldowns of it entirely. 9:17 it went from 48 mins to 2 hours not 10 to 2 hours the original 10 mins was crazy op, though i do think the nerf of giving you damn near no chance to get coke solo and main target nerf was very bad.
also i constantly see R* adding community made outfits to rdo
11:04 the last 2 updates have been some of the best updates yet aswell as some insane new money making methods for noobs. and what you said about gta plus and 6 was perfect
You are dead on accurate about one fact. I have played all rockstar games. I look forward to play gta 6. But I would only play the online mode for the trophies.

Bro, we complain about how R* does what they can to make earning money in GTA 5 Online as frustrating as possible. GTA 6 online is going to double down. Earning money will a difficult and painfully slow grind. Mission payouts will be dramatically low. Just look at how much of a pin earning money in RDO is. R* realized they screwed up by adding too many businesses to GTA 5 Online and giving players decent payouts. It's so easy to make money you don't need to buy shark cards. All you need is persistence and patience.

They even find ways to fuck around on console, mod menu actions such as teleporting to ANY part of the map, permanent off radar, having the ability to locate anyone while in ghost, and lock onto vehicles using missile jammers isnt part of the game.....

I’m both excited and worried for GTA 6. On one side theres my nostalgia of wanting to explore a brand new GTA like when V launched, on the other my older side that pulled some doubts of the game like the major producers from back before are not involved in this game, the trailer show a lot of inclusion characters so maybe Sweetbaby inc has a finger in this, Online will be a complete failure
i hate rockstar because of their lazyness not caring and greedyness that started with online when they killed off johnny k showing that they hate us and they dont care about us then removing our mods music not letting us fix or mod games and giving us the finger again with the defecative `remaster` mockery and clownery showing that tehy hate us again and they dont care about us all they care about is online and money they dont care about us and love us also cancelling the upcoming games again nto caring and hating

This sadly happens with most companies that get too big. I have never been interested in online multiplayer. Too many idiots and trolls ruining the experience in my opinion. I prefer to play against the AI.
Rockstar fixed the stable glitch and loads of crashes in the latest rdo update, but that doesn't help anything since gta online is still horrible.
But, there is one good thing, the FUCKING AWESOME singleplayer games, i have spent at least 150 hours in Red Dead Redemption 2's open world
