My headcanon for this mod is that the three of these clowns just decided to combine Uno, Poker and Pokemon on purpose. But what started as a simple joke to throw people off became a genuinely fun game that they didn't have the heart to let go.
I have now accepted this as my headcanon as well

MX hitting the POW block would probably break concentration
Meanwhile, Lord X is just short enough that he can look at everyone else’s cards and not get caught. It looks like he’s doing that in his left and right poses. His up pose also looks like he’s pulling cards out of his mouth. Lord X doesn’t like cheating… but if no one else is playing fair, then why bother? His hunched up pose implies he’s not happy about it though.

how i assume they actually play:
MX: slams the POW Block, scattering the cards so A: he can reshuffle and give himself better cards in the chaos, and B: look at some of the other's cards.
Lord X: keeps peeking at Hypno and MX's cards. much more mundane, but it still works.
Hypno: puts MX and Lord X to sleep/hypnotizes them, then does what he wants for a bit, then waits for them to wake up. probably steals cards from both players and the deck, and replaces them with worse cards/ones that they can't use at the moment.
They all have different kinds of cards, so I’m just imagining a very goofy interaction like
Lord: “Alright Mario, draw +4”
MX: “Alright…*draws*…aha, a Royal Flush combo! Four cards out of my hand! Take that hedgehog”
Hypno: “Not so fast, I summon in vaporeon to drown your King card, making your royal flush combo invalid!”
MX: “That card isn’t even real!”
Lord: “Yes it is you bone-brain”

1:05 - 1:41 is hands down the best part of the song. The fact that hypno pops off out of nowhere is absolutely amazing, the beat changed a little, but good god, it felt like it was getting better, and while that's happening, Lord x and mx are singing in unison, after hypno is done with his ascension, hypno takes turns with mx and Lord x, and they are still unison, god, they outdid themselves here.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: my headcannon is that they're all playing a card game with each other, but nobody is playing the same card game as one another.
MX is playing Go Fish, Lord X is playing Uno, and Hypno is playing the Pokemon Trading Card Game battles. (and all of them are attempting to play with each other thinking the other two are playing the same card game they're attempting to play.)
And then hilarious dialogue followed by funny rap battle ensues.
This is how most creepypasta characters chill out, and I love it.
This track is my all-time favorite, and I'm going to miss this mod's great content.
Why miss it? Itll always be there. Whether it got canned or not.

I love how bouncy this song is. The Genesis sound bytes really compliment how goofy this whole situation is.
And, of course, 0:50, the best part of the whole song. It sounds so sinister, reminding you that while this whole thing is silly- everyone here is still violent killers.

I can imagine Classic Sonic, Classic Mario, Kid Gold, sonic.exe, mario.exe, and Lost Silver Gold at one big table all playing Uno while the entire time mario.exe and sonic.exe are just arguing the entire time.
Funnily enough, there is art of regular Sonic.EXE, Mario.EXE and Gold fitting your description, at what's dubbed as the "kids" table somewhere behind the table of the three seen in this song.

MX: There's no way we can combine easily... but, if we will, I guess I'll do Crazy Eights.
Hypno: I'll be using my Trading Cards. Let's do this...
*BATTLE BEGIN*
Lord X: Let's each start with 5 of our own cards.
MX: Seems fair.
Lord X: For me and MX, whoever clears our hand first wins. For you, Hypno, each time you manage to deal 150 DMG to either of us, you grab one of your prize cards, right?
Hypno: Yep! And just so you know, I will be trying to hypnotize throughout.
MX: I've also got a gimmick up my sleeves.
*MX pulls out a POW Block*
MX: Watch for me hitting this. When I do, Hypno, all your active Energy cards are discarded.
Hypno: Okay. Remember... watch for my hypnotization and psyshock...
Lord X: Let's begin. Hypno, you can go first.
Hypno: I send out Fennekin and Squirtle to my bench, then send out Fennekin, while attaching 1 Fire energy to her. Then, I use Scratch on Lord X.
*Lord X: 140/150*
MX: My turn.
*MX lays out a 5 of Spades*
*Lord X immediately plays a Draw 4*
Hypno: Ya do know you're trying to keep me from drawing cards, right? That's literally how I get stronger here...
MX: Yeah, but it skips your turn as well. Thanks, pal.
Lord X: Thanks. Also, for coorelation sake, Red and Heart are the same, Blue and Spades are the same, Yellow and Diamonds are the same, and Green and Clubs are the same. So, I change the color to Red.
MX: Drat.
*MX draws a card*
*4 hours later*
Hypno: ...and to finish the game, I attack MX with my Vaporeon. That's 150 total on MX, so I grab my final Prize Card and win.
MX: Dammit... bested by a Pokemon...
Lord X: I was so close too...
*Hypno then grabs back his pendulum, and stands up*
Hypno: Now, if you don't mind, I have some things to do. It's been fun playing that. How about same time tomorrow?
MX: Sure.

This goes so hard man, I'm surprised people don't bring this up more often while talking about their favorite songs in this mod.
The only thing keeping this from being my top favorite is Lord X’s vocals, I just can’t get behind them unfortunately.
Lord x vocals are a masterpiece, just like mx vocals, I personally dislike Hypnos the most but it’s still 9/10, :nerd_emoji:
The idea of these three characters just hanging out playing cards together is really endearing, definitely one of the best songs and concepts in this mod
0:49 and 1:58 are my favorite parts by far, they just sound so good.

How about this
Rings would pop up on your arrow bar that you can collect. The bottom bar (that shows how close you are to dying) would be gone. You have to collect the rings to stay alive if you miss a note you will lose some rings (maybe 2 to 3) but if you miss a note with no rings you die. Missing a ring does nothing.
Or a simpler route for lord X’s mechanic could have been the sonic.exe notes with the static note and the phantom note. I know it doesn’t fit lord x specifically, but it works for representing sonic.exe as a whole.
Or the souls could just make the other two's sections harder. But that's boring.
In any appearance of Lord X I've never actually seen him with a mechanic. I actually prefer no mechanic for Lord X because it makes a "hard" mode that you can toggle depending on which character you pick (plus middle scroll makes it easier to focus on the pendulum so in itself it does give you one benefit compared to the other two where it make is you cross-eyed)

The replies and you are forgetting that the phantom notes exist. That may work and they could work in the sense that they drain health like in the OG mod. I think it might be a good mechanic for Lord X to use against Hypno and MX's.

I think the one thing i find funny and love about pasta night is lord x portrayal in the song. The fact he shorter where other mods he on the same height as mx and the fact he the hard mode of the song since he doesn't have a gimmick and he has to deal with mx and hypno gimmick.

Pasta night has quickly become my favorite song from this mod, I'll admit this mod had a couple of songs that I thought were better sounding, but, this is the only song from the mod that actively sticks around in my mind, even long after the thrill of everything else passes.
