Great interview, and so refreshing to see the people driving innovation be so forthcoming. PS. love the glass roof - no issues and 4 season comfort for the North East.

Rivian definitely nailed it with their pickup. Wishing them luck on ramping up production.

Loved the interview. As I wait for my R1S, it was great to listen to a discussion about the dynamics of the vehicles and their capabilities, vision, and culture.

Thank you for this interview. Max is a rock star. How awesome to hear directly from the people responsible for making reality out of the SUV I've always dreamed of. They made a vehicle with better capabilities than a Range Rover, better acceleration than most production Ferraris, hawls the same amount of people as my previous minivan and more comfort and amaenaties than Grand Cherokees. All this with zero gas and virtually no maintenance.

The problem i have with these "known" companies (MotorTrend) who have the access to company executives, they seldom ask the right questions that current and reservation holders have about the vehicle and problems its having and what they doing to fix these issues. I'm not saying that's what they whole interview was about but just surely you move up into questions on pressing issues. Drop the ball moment by Motor trend! The roof is point and case, They actually brought it up but because the hosts were so busy "entertaining themselves" with stories and comments that Max never got to answer the question and then they moved onto another topic. Jonny constantly branched away from Topics to discuss his own "private stories." He constantly interrupted Max and ED. Great opportunity missed!

I’m the worst! Sorry! Problem is, if I let Ed talk he’d ask Max if he painted cars in Kindergarten and try and explain how 92 hp is all anyone needs.

Fair criticism. Although, neither of us are reservations holders (Jonny was) or, say shareholders. In both cases, it would definitely be a different conversation - perhaps more specific.

+1 for the carbon fiber roof. I don't even look up when I'm driving.

Great conversation fellas, but man I wanted him to dig into the dual motors more. I'm so torn being a May 2019 MAX pack reservation holder. I'm leaning towards Enhanced dual motor max pack now since quad isn't an option, but curious how the quad and dual vary on snow and mud.

You guys don’t let Mark finish his thoughts. The guy in the blue hoodie keeps cutting him off and changing topic. But great guest.

Why 800 HP? Tesla started with the Roadster, then the Model S, then the affordable car. Each expensive model, paid for by early adopters, paid for the subsequent more affordable version. Jeez Motor Trend, learn the industry.

By that logic, then Model S 90, 100 and Plaid should have come out first? But that's not the case. Tesla launched with the 85/P85 and 60. Then added the 70 and 75, and then when they added the P100, they dropped the 60 entirely. And when Model 3 came out, there was the long promised $35,000 version, which was only sold for a few months before being pulled. So perhaps not as simple as you're characterizing it.

@@EdwardLoh Model variation aside, you can’t launch a new car company and start with the loss leader is my point. Need to showcase what this company can do differently (disruptively?).

When is Rivian start the electric private luxury aircraft for all the Davos participants to use? You know they’re sooo concerned about our carbon footprint! 🤣🤣
