I am thinking, observing Frimas, whether 'scratching posts' like those made from nylon brushes and used for cows, might not be a beneficial addition. It may also help alleviate insect and fly problems that polar bears may not normally encounter in the colder climate for which they are designed.
Appreciate the worries but they have scratching posts. I think this was more joy of being outside after 3 months in the maternity den. Also they've water but she was not having it with the little one yet. Maybe she is now. Never forget, these video's are just a few minutes out of 24 hours. And you don't see everything ;).
