O som do violino destilando a sua mais pura doçura.
I listened to this 10 times in a row, totally entranced by the all encompassing beauty of Regina Carter's interpretation of this beautiful classic. I will return to it as a bee returns to pollen.
Me too, a hundred times 😚💙💜❤
sublime....
This is sublime. I am in tears. I miss my friends and hope to come together soon. Saw a live Zoom feed with Regina, Carla Cook, Marion Hayden and others today. It was excellent. They were talking about Jazz, improv, what inspires them, their upcoming summer camp for kids ages 15-26, and more. The camp is something the late, legendary Geri Allen started and I think everyone in that age category interested in music- jazz or otherwise- should attend. Phenomenal stuff. Thanks for posting this. Wishing you all much lovee, healing, and peace.
I have seen Regina live two times once at a venue in Santa in Cruz and once at Yoshi’s in Oakland. She is absolute master every note means something. You can see when she grabs the bow and starts playing that there’s a focus and concentration in her even the way she draws her bow is masterful. I am a musician and one of the instruments I play regularly in performances is a five string Electric violin. I am most definitely a fan. With that said and all of the times I have seen her perform And listen to her albums. This performance and this song it’s such a high high bar line for any and all violinist… this brings so many elements together of beauty sustain tones the violin doing what it’s really capable of doing which is an instrument that is the closest to a human singer. This melody is haunting and her performance is beyond stellar.
Absolutely exquisite❤

Just superb my favourite tune exquisitely played by very talented musicians. 🎶🎶. June 2020 🎶 Greetings from Sydney Australia
