Loved plants in the 70’s and loving them even more this century!😂Really enjoyed this video.🪴🪴🪴
Thanks Emily for a great video. I will be one to watch more of these if you decide to do more.😍Your house plants are amazing.
In the house I only have three plants, 2 orchids and a bamboo. Outside is a different story. My 7 year old is even into gardening.
Loved your video. I stitched on my Long Dog while watching😊 Quite enjoyed it .
Hi Emily. I really loved this video! I love seeing all or any of your plants any time. I also love hearing about your life stuff too. I have watched all of your videos, so I really feel like I know you. 😊 I have a few plants. You have motivated me to get busy repotting mine. I ruined my very favorite plant last year. Hopefully, I can get a new one soon. It was my spider plant. 😢 If you ever want to cut any of your plants back, I will take any and all starts! 😂 Hopefully, you will have a great rest of the week. Take care, little Missy. ❤
Love your shirt!! And when you said you need to give that plant a pole, all I could picture was the plant stripping. Lol
I enjoyed your reporting video.
Thanks for sharing.
Marilyn
I’m a cross stitcher and as someone who recently had 350 house plants but then downsized their numbers, I thoroughly enjoyed your plant video! Spring is here in southeastern Massachusetts and your video makes me want to repot mine and visit the greenhouse. Thank you!
Wonderful! Time of year to get restarted on those plant chores. 🪴
Great planty video. You inspired me. I have one houseplant that has been in the same planter for years. I changed out the pot and gave it fresh soil. I even made clippings since it was reaching the floor and set them in water to root for new plants. I never thought of putting the plastic pot into the ceramic pot. I always plant directly into the ceramic pot, and then you have to have a saucer underneath to capture the excess water.
I've repotted 2 more since the video. 😁
Ms. Emily, this was uber helpful for my horticulturally challenged self. I have two plants... two, that I'm trying to keep alive, which were gifts; one is a succulent and the other--one of those "Mother's Day" potted hanging arrangements. The succulent was gifted in 2020, and the other just last year. So far so good... and we have a super ancient Ace Hardware here in my neighborhood to source some Black Gold potting soil. Thanks for the tip on the fertilizer as well. Your plants are so incredibly healthy. P.S.) Hope the Bustermeister is doing well. Take care~~ from the Midwest, US.
Omg, your shirt! ❤😂 😆 🤣
I like plants but not much time to care for them, but looked up low maintenance plants and up came Raven ZZ plant. Black leaves! Now I need a Raven ZZ plant. Thank you and good night. Hugs to Buster and Dharma .
Raven zzs are awesome!
Enjoyed your video today.
I love plants as well but my fave is a 🌹
I credit (blame?) you for launching my plant habit in spring of 2022… 50 plants later I know the plant chore list is never done! Here as growing season starts I’m planning to hit all my little 🌿🌱🌵 babies with bonide systemic then some osmocote slow release. Lately I’ve been getting into hoyas. Love a small leaf Hoya! Latest: serpens and heuschkeliana variegata. Thanks for the video! 💚
I think my next hoya purchase will be a Mathilde. 😍
🪴🌿🪴not a plant person but totally an Emily person. Loved this video.
Awwww that was so incredibly kind. :)
Really nice plant video , they all look very happy with there re potting. You might want to remove the plug on that one plant or you might lose it in time. I always remove them. So when will outside gardening start. Can't wait to start once these atmosphere rivers stop here in Southern California having one now with 2 to 3 inches. Take care. P.S. Gracie test came back - no cancer or Addison but more test.🤞take care ❤
This one is more like seedling paper netting and the roots seem to be growing through it. I think over time it will break down. If not I'll pull it off in the next repot. It's still such a baby I don't want to traumatize the roots too much.
Great news about Gracie!!!!
And I'm going to start getting my raised bed ready in the coming weeks. Not quite ready to plant yet. I saw some 30-40 degree night temps in our forecast for the coming week. 😳
I immediately went to Amazon and ordered Mosquito bits. Best tip this month. Loved the video. A couple of my plants could use a replant. Thanks. Your soil mix looks great.
Make a tea with them. Lots of TH-cam videos on how. Just the bits in a plant can mold. It doesn't hurt anything but they're unsightly.
Loving the plant-tube! 🪴 the bear paw succulent is really adorable. I’m so interested now in buying a plant and seeing if I can keep it alive😂 gonna go watch your other plant videos for some tips… you should definitely keep doing plant tube as well!
There are some amazing plant TH-camrs out there. You should check out Harli G. She's super real and fun to watch.
@@emilyc325 definitely going to check her out!
Yes, Emily, remove that plug on your philodendron asap!!!. I’ve heard other plant TH-camrs I follow refer to those as “death plugs”…. I’ve never heard anyone say why growers do that to plants. 27:19
I know the death plugs you speak of. This one is more like seedling paper netting and the roots seem to be growing through it. I think over time it will break down. If not I'll pull it off in the next repot. It's still such a baby I don't want to traumatize the roots too much.
Love the plant talk!!!! Any recommendations for getting Easter cactus to bloom? ❤
No idea...lol. Some plants I'm not great with and that's one of them.
Questions, coming from a true black thumb. Have you ever used the app that you take a photo and it helps diagnose any problems? And do they work well? And do you give some plants organic materials for their nutrition? Such as tea or coffee or coffee grounds or eggshells, Etc. My dad would give his roses coffee grounds twice a year because they prefer acidic soils and this also changes the color of hydrangeas, so he would put old Pennie’s around them to make them more blue or purple depending on what they are given. Loved the video, keep up the good work. Will watch another of your plant videos. How is Buster?
I've never used that kind of app. I use one called LeafSnap for identifying plants I've never seen before.
Never tried organic material with houseplants but I've definitely heard of it for outdoor gardening.
And Buster is doing well! He's napping upstairs. 😴
loved it :)🪴
I’ve said a million times that I have brown thumbs but seeing this has inspired me to learn more about having/care for/growing plants. I think I may have been using too big of a pot before. Learned something new already 😉. Can you suggest a hearty plant to start with? I live in Texas, so probably an indoor plant that I won’t scorch with this hot Texas heat. Thank you for sharing 🩵
Go buy a golden pothos. It's the "Dennis" I repotted. They're very tolerant. Marble queen pothos are tolerant too is you like it's color more.
Thank you, I’m looking now!❤
I love watching plant videos! I have about 20 houseplants now and my Monstera is getting 2 new leaves. What kind of grow cabinet do you have from IKEA? I’m thinking about getting one.
Mine is a Milsbo tall.
