      You can get an awful lot done using GP/GB Pro and from time to time you may well need to get your hands dirty and add in some additional CSS or HTML to achieve a more niche result. But that's okay. That's kind of what these tool are about.
      Possibly not the best option for everyone or every situation, but the ease in which you can get a super fast loading site with no CDN or heavy optimisation tools is impressive to say the least.

    I just want to say thank you for such a helpful video. I watched it after a night of fails with GP and GB. One little detail that it easy to miss and therefore causes at ton of issues is if you do not add an inner container to the main container. If you add a block container instead, everything will not format correctly and it will be a mess to get things spaced and such. The latest GP does not have the full width and Inner container options in the page options anymore, so I had to figure out the discrepancy with your video. And it was a huge help to see the Pattern section which I totally missed untill I saw you video.
    I would love to see more design walkthroughs usin GP Premium and GB. For now, I am wondering what and why you would recommend for adding spacing in the responsive desgining? Padding or margins. For example, if a block or form goes right up to the edge of the screen and you want a 20px space on the left and right -- padding or margin? Does it matter?
    Thank you again!!!!

Not always easy to know or find where settings are. How can I Customization header color ( I have my color ) ?

    The new WordPress with blocks drives me crazy! I hoped your video would help. But, once you start working on the home page my screen is different, I can't find the options you have for containers. I can't move containers by dragging them. Maybe its because your video is a year old and I'm not using the Pro for GenerateBlocks. Now there are Patterns thrown in too. A big frustrating mess.

    Now that you've done this, how about the same for Kadence?

    Its very confusing and annoying that its not clear when you are presenting features only covered in the premium version. This way it more looks like a promo for GeneratePress Premium.

      Very true, but this isn't about the Blocksy theme. That's been covered several times on the channel and my top general purpose WordPress theme.

    I never saw you make a website from scratch or a theme for wordpress / woocommerce , you only use paid plugins and some free but for the free ones you always use paid stuff.
    It will be nice if you can make a Wordpress Theme from scratch, from scratch and not only use plugins.

    • @WPTuts
      @WPTuts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the comment, but just to clarify there are loads of tutorials on the channel using only free tools covering full site builds, WooCommerce builds as well as everything in-between.
      As mentioned in the opening of this particular video, you can get most of what is covered here done with the free theme/plugin, but if you want some of the nicer features, then that comes with a price tag.
      As for building a theme from scratch, that's not really what this channel is about. I don't really see the need to build a full theme when there is an abundance of amazing, well-coded themes that form a fantastic starting point for your designs.
      If you don't want that, then I've covered how to use a tool like Elementor (free & pro) to build your entire site from scratch using a base bones theme like Hello.

    I don't have an option to expand the grid. GP is harder to work with than Organic chemistry and or circuit flow calculations. And there are NO quality tutorials on it and GP videos are just bad, not to mention documentation. Just bad. And Tom will tell you, "hire a developer habibi" :(

    Trash tutorial
    1. The prebuilt block is only available to GB pro (pricy 50$ a year for 1 site, gets lower if u want more sites tho)
    2. The hero section doesn't actually appear to be full width but it's still contained
    3. Some cuts are made trouout the tutorial that makes understanding harder, for example when you drag the grid under the container you fail and then you cut right trough, you didn't tell the user that they need to drag it in the left-right part to put it inside.
    Tried to rewatch again and again but seems like I just wasted 2 hours of my time and now I'm very frustrated.

    • @SpheralChese73
      @SpheralChese73 ปีที่แล้ว

      (I finally figured it out, to have it full size u need to open the main container and there's an icon for the spacing and you need to set that to full width)
