Think it depends on the person that’s in the wheel chair on how disabled they are and I say this cause one of my former friends, she was born that she hasn’t walked since she was born. She has a really hard time verbally communicating and she can’t use one of her arms(can’t control it).

Not that there’s other times he feels independent and maybe he does all the time but I know if I was in a wheelchair crossing a bridge all on my own would almost feel like flying lol just wanted to clarify in case anyone takes it the wrong way
As a wheelchair driver, when the grandkids were younger, I could take them to a park but could not participate but just watch at a distance. It wasn’t as fun for me or them. Parks and rides are to be shared. That park is a gem, a treasure. Shane and Hannah, it’ll be a blast taking your kids there one day. Love you guys. ❤️♿️❤️♿️

I’m 65 and I still love playgrounds, I like to swing, (I am disabled too...back injuries) and I don’t go down the slide, I tried it at 63, I was so sore and twisted my back, awful. Stay away from the slide!!! I think all abled playgrounds are crazy wonderful, I like elderly playgrounds too!
The park scenes absolutely made my heart explode with happiness. My sister and nephew (her son) are both in wheelchairs and I wish there were more accessibility places where they live.

My eldest son isnt mobile and uses a wheelchair and last year we went to a caravan holiday park here in Britain, and I was really surprised to find they had swimming pool wheelchairs and a slope into the pool so we could literally wheel him down the slope in the wheelchair and he could enjoy the pool while feeling safe in the wheelchair. Finding assessable equipment and facilities when you don't expect it is always a major bonus. Incase anyone is interested it was bun leisure in selsey the south of England has a beach inside the caravan park aswell. Loved the video Hannah and Shane as always ❤️
There is an amusement park here in San Antonio Texas called Morgan’s wonderland. It is a fully accessible amusement park, all of the rides are made specifically to be used by people in wheelchairs. They also have other locations here in Texas. Maybe you could make a trip here and check it out!

I am 35 years old and I go to the park all of the time with my 33 year old boyfriend to play basketball. Sometimes we even play ball with the kids, if they ask. I feel it would be rude of us to say "no" to them anyway. We go because we enjoy it and it is a fun way to get in our exercise. There is a fine line between playing around and just being a creep around the kids. So, I would not feel weirded out if I saw Shane playing around in the park at all.

Awe that place is amazing! I recently moved too Woodbury and brought my daughter there a couple weeks ago and she didn’t wanna leave! I think it’s such a cool place haha I enjoyed playing there with my daughter and I think I had just as much fun as she did!

There is also one near us in Round Rock, TX (Play For All Park) and also can't forget the AMAZING Morgan's Wonderland in San Antonio, TX. My daughter loves Morgan's Wonderland so much. She's autistic and typical theme parks are too much for her but it's just right AND they have an ultra-accessible water park.
It's nice to see that there are some accessible playgrounds popping up in places. I wish I had something like that when I was a kid. I honestly would have fun playing on that stuff now, but there is definitely a problem with a guy in his mid 20s playing on a playground, even in a wheelchair like myself or Shand... oh well. Also, I want a relationship like you two some day. You're both able to have fun with each other and the wheelchair doesn't change that.

I take my dogs with me, because they like to climb on the equipment. Then I don't feel bad about being a 30 something at a playground.
I'm a 64 yr old grandma who takes the grandkids to the playground to fake babysit just so I can go the swings.
