My VTR sounds better than both but that Ducati doesn't sound good. I shortened my cans 20" & removed 1/4 packing & the sound is worlds different. Very nice RC you have there. 👍🏼

rc51 sounds so much better with low idle lope to the quick Rev throttle response. plus it being a wet clutch it doesn't rattle like the Ducati. that said I do love the single sided swing arm that Ducati incorporates on a lot of their bikes. but, honda wins🤘
Space Jockey I own both of these bikes so not biased at all. Love both bikes and the dry clutch is part of the personality of the duc. But it is amazing how similar both motors sound.
definetly the RC,,,, theyre both incredible machines but for me the RC does it And the fact she makes 130hp/70 some ft lbs torque with no rider aids makes her a real muscle bike this is definetly a machine to be ridden with ur head,,,not ur heart!!! keep Safe man sweet bikes...
I've got a Superhawk. Can't stand the fake cam gear noise they built into it... don't like it at all. Perhaps they think its a supercharger. Yet that said, it's hard to find someone who likes the sound of a dry clutch
The RC sounds better in this comparison... My Ducati 996 with full exhaust smokes my RC51 for overall sound & the dry clutch is different/fun. Personally both my TL1000R's sound better than the RC51 as well....
Love the sound of a dry clutch...always reminds me of being in the pits at a WSB or AMA Superbike race from 1988 - 2010...
Basically exchanging a chattering dry clutch noise for gear-driven cam whine.
In my opinion the RC51 is the 2nd best sounding bike ever. 2nd only to the 79' Honda CBX1050. Again, just my opinion.
Ducati, and I like the sound of the dry clutch too.

i was surprised how they almost sound the same.. tuning out the dry clutch on the ducati.. both awesome bikes..
2010 M1100 Evo got rid of the dry clutch, but that is 5 years after the S4RS.
I have the same Combo! 2002 RVT1000R and 2004 S4R! I love both!

I was so happy when I had to replace my clutch plates without changing dirty oil and it turned out to be a 15min job 😜
they are two of the best Motors ever made but I have to say is an s4rs owner myself the Ducati wins by a narrow margin!

I have a Ducati Monster S4RS and love it don't get me wrong. However the RC51 sounds like music to my ears.

The RC 51 wins every time,I currently ride a VTR sp-2 with a full Akrapovic race system,so am a bit biased!.
Honda has a wine at the end of the thump but the click clack can be annoying also

The only thing that is bad with the Rc51 is how fat the fairing is.
Pillokun the fairing is huge and the bike is a heavy pig but it doesn’t feel like it when riding.
