SRS malfunction was on and my 2009 mercedes C350 wouldnt even start, the repair guy said on the phone that car should start w that code so they made me think something else was the problem, well when all said and done all i needed 2 do was change the battery and the srs went away and car starts and runs fine now
Would have been nice to see every step, as you skipped a "lot" of them.....so if going for a diy help video, not sure this helps anyone at all. Sorry, but seeing code, srs light, etc....& steps to see the replacement AND the result of doing all this. Did is resolve the issue, is the light off? Everything great again....just curious.

So my main issue it has to do with the seat cushion how do I have what do I have to be careful with it I mean people are going to be sitting on top of that thing all the time what does it matter if I'm careful with it when I put it back in shouldn't be sturdy enough to hold it together is it going to be getting used quite quite often so all I have to do to get that SRS light off is to jiggle or clean out that that fuse maybe the seat isn't ruined but it's not the cushion itself maybe it's just you know the wire is is kind of Wiggly or whatever and it's not always necessary to redo the wire

Şoför koltuğu altında sadece iki kahverengi kablosu olan bir sokette bir kablonun kopuk olduğunu gördüm . Bunan yapabilir mi ? Nereye bakmam gerekiyor. Yardımcı olursanız çok sevinirim
I always thought SRS stood for Supplemental Restraint System, not Safety Restraint System…
Morning sir today my 2016 MB e350 4 matic srs came on while I’m driving the dash board look like Christmas light I pull over try to put in park the car wouldn’t allow to put in park so I turn the car off than it will not start after that. So my question is what do think it’s the problem appreciate your feedback thanks you.i was freaking out because I have 23 months old baby in the car. Yeah I was scared.
@@deez6686 23 months is a toddler, not a baby 😁😁 but I think there’s some kind of electrical issue, it can be a central gateway. It can be your shifter. Maybe you spilled some fluids on the shifter. It can be one of your controlled area network junctions maybe some water damage but you need a professional diagnosis. If you’re in the Atlanta Metairie area, bring it to one of our locations.

where can i buy the sensor? do i need to get a specific model for my mercedes or can i order online just a sensor that works for any car?
also do i need to cut my seat up to bring the sensor out or can i just take out the leather thing and the soft thing inside. how do i do this.
i went to a mecanic and he said i need to cut the seat open with knife and then use glue.

I am NOT tearing into my seat unless I know this is the problem. Cmon man! Have a 2002 C320 Wagon. Total freakin junk! Three German mechanics in Tampa all give me a line of shit charging $1000’s. Buy a Honda folks!

I got the Front Passenger SRS Service required message. At mercedes, they said it was 1850 dollars plus tax before labor and repair. E350 Sedan 2014-2016 doesn't have a recall. Odd

@DD walker I agree, considering I have 5 of them. If you can't afford it, you shouldn't buy one. They are money pits but, enjoyable to drive and sit in. (They look terrific as well.)

Mercedes once tried to charge me upwards of 1800 for my 350 not shifting out of park...I said🖕 found out 2 days later it was fuse.😐
@jamilabdur-rashid3801 Exactly. Either it's a module or they really have to calibrate it with a very expensive machine. I'll have to look into a certified Mercedes mechanic with the same machine or other fix. I can put a human or a weight in the passenger seat (same thing) and the light goes away.

well i do not advice my customers to replace the mat its expensive in parts and labor. what i usually do is unplugging it and change the setting in the SRS module to be coded with no mat and 5 mins job...
K very dangerous!! If you have a shop do not do it! You are disabling the child recognition sensor which is a federal regulation to protect babies in front seat in case of an accident , there were cases where air bad deployment caused infant fatalities, if you get caught doing that you will spend time behind bars, I highly advise you to delete your comment and not do it again, just friendly advise.

I know its not safe but i do have permission from the customer first and the WSS system is mandatory in the USA and where i live is not im in the middle east and WSS is not installed on the majorty of cars like the w221 and 204s. I deal with imported cars from japan and german market that are the same except usa imported cars which are salvaged titles and have been repaird and i deal with crash codes + WSS malufunctions as the customer wishes
Well, what if i dont have kids and i only transport adults on front seats? And also, in my country its illegal to drive with any person under 140cm on front seats. So, if i block it, or use emulator, it should be fine right? I mean, all it will do is fire passenger airbag when crashed even if no1 sits on that seat, which it wont do when sensor is properly working i guess?!

@@MercedesBenzTechs some idiot put my battery terminals on backwards, fried up a bunch of stuff. Fixed most of it already but main problem is my cooling fan stays on forever until battery dies. I leave the fan unplugged. Do you know what it could be? Some things I checked that are good includes fuses, relays, coolant temp sensor, and ac pressure switch, and ECM are all good, is it the fan module or is there anything else I missed?
If everything else checks ok than it has to be the fan.

willie c No, car will start with SRS malfunction. In some cases after accident and departure of air bags the car will lock up and has to be reprogrammed

@@MercedesBenzTechs i am currently experiencing this car had the srs light on and would not start only started with a jump. Now srs light is still on and key fob doesn't unlock or lock, turn signals, window wipers, power seats are not functioning.
My srs is coming and going, car won't start when srs light is on, once I was driving and it came on so I ran in2 the gas station for just a sec and left car running and then it locked the gear shift and wouldn't come out of park, it sat for a few hrs code went away and car started and drove like nothing was ever wrong, very weird

Hi guys, I have GL550 2013, My SRS light came on out of blue. Is telling me code B009387 crash sensor for left rear door faulty. But I did change the sensor inside the door panel but the light didn't go out. Pls help me.

kingmariodee you need to have it diagnosed on xentry (mercedes software) but it sounds like you may need a new conductor plate..

Hello there is a lemon car a Mercedes Benz c300 convertible which it was bought back by Mercedes then put at an auction. I read the car fax and it looks like the issue was the couldn't fix it. the exact reason from Carfax was

I would, there is no problem that is unrepairable the question is how much in parts and labor, if you understand the systems the repairs are not complicated.
What bullshit!! Looks difficult. I suppose I can get a $20 seat occupancy emulator minibox on ebay to bypass this issue and have it turn off srs light (but still have srs active).
You could but what if you sell the car one day yo someone with toddler and they get into an accident and the airbag deploys and kill him because weight recognition did not work?? Something to think about..
@@MercedesBenzTechs Ok yes however I would never sell without telling the person about it. I also not planning to sell my 2001 S430 anyway, not worth it. It's a nice car, just very bad plastics that break and crack. Thanks for the video.
