I really like it when reviewers have standards for giving 5 stars. For me, they have to feel like they were written specifically for me. They have to resonate on a level so deep, that the author is talking directly to me. Also, thank you for the "Don't Cry for Me" rec. It was such an incredible read. It was absolutely one of those books where I felt the author was speaking to me. I finished it just yesterday, in 1 sitting. I couldn't put it down. (The ability to make longer comments here rather than the small limit on tiktok is so nice lol)
It really does feel like magic when a book clicks like that! And I definitely agree on the longer comment (and content). Although I was hesitant to move to another platform, it’s nice to not feel rushed.
For me my top 3 reads of 2024 would be: Mr Loverman by Bernadine Evaristo The Color Purple by Alice Walker Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers by Jesse Q. Sutanto. I’ve heard so much about Only For A Week but I’m kinda scared since I haven’t really had luck with romances but I have heard so many good things even from who aren’t that much a fan of romances so I might try it 😊
Yes Eryn! You had a magnificent reading year. Thank you for such concise recaps without giving away plots! I have Lonesome Dove on my list but not sure if it’s worth the time! Your channel is going to explode🎉❤

I think my top 3 of last year were Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi, The Women by Kristin Hannah, and How Not to Drown in a Glass of Water by Angie Cruz. It was strange because I read them all in the same month, so maybe I was just in the right mood, but they all had emotional impact for me.
I would say my top 3 reads were The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas, Two Old Women by Velma Wallis, and Hostile Takeover by Christina C. Jones. I also want to add a fourth and a fifth one which are The Truth According to Ember by Danica Nava and One Summer in Savannah by Terah Shelton Harris.
So happy to have found your videos. Love your recommendations. My TBR keeps getting longer, thank you.
I hope you enjoy them!
Yes! Last house on needless street was fantastic! Added anxious people to my TBR. Thanks! 🙏🏽
It really is a banger book!

Top 3 in the same month is some kind of magic! I love that for you. Gyasi is on my TBR so I’ll look up Transcendent Kingdom!
So many I haven’t read yet
I hope I’ve grown your tbr!

Oh nice! I love the range you’ve got there!
Can someone confirm the adapation of Children of Blood and Bone? I want to read it before the movie comes out lol
Ah I didn't know there was an adaptation in the works!
Yes, they just recently announced the cast. A lot of heavy hitters are in it.
After reading the third book, CBB is now a duology for me also. 😂
Ah! You get it!
