This is one of my favorites. It is a very positive experience for the subject by being negative with them (in a positive way). :) It really is impressive psychology.
We need more Darren Browns in this crazy world of mine. I'm probably too disabled for this to work for me, but I'd love the insight into what is behind my eyes
@@PurpleChickenTV ln the last century people used to state it isn't brain surgery, or it's not rocket science to explain that the task was in fact doable and not so difficult Meaning complex skills the majority cannot understand, seemingly undoable are not the problem you face. "very talented" is subjective, and people tend to be their own worst judge. Especially if you gave up for a while you can then defend your choice to give up by convincing yourself you were never good at all.
As a musician and music teacher I knew after she gave her recital that her "learning" how to play just from nonmusical exercises was B.S. I could tell she had played all her life. Her level of musicianship, as well as finger and body posture are something that can only be learned over many years of practice. I pretty much saw the twist coming at the end, that she was actually hypnotized to believe she had never played before-- hence the terrible rendition of chopsticks at the beginning-- and then was brought back to her former training with the exercises. The piece she played at the recital was probably the same piece she was asked to prepare for her initial audition for the show, which would explain why it seemed so well rehearsed. Then all Darren needed to do was tell her the starting notes so she could recall which piece in her subconscious repertoire to play.
Paused at 19 minutes. Here's what I think is happening. She can play the piano. But he's made he think she can't somehow. And she will play from muscle memory. That's got to be the the most obvious explanation.

I cried
Also just looked her up and it looks like she's doing great. So happy

This is not rocket surgery.
A very small percentage of the population are suggestible and have preexisting skills which are translatable

I remember this first being aired and telling everyone about it!
It’s the one that stayed with me, the longest…
One of my faves. I did energised hypnosis on myself to paint again after years being blocked and it gave me back my joy and spontaneity.
Impressive words from the grave 👏
i love that people have no clue that the writing on the card is an ambigram 😅
It’s obvious lol
A world with clones of derren would be a better world.

@TARINI NATH AGHORI DURGA DEVI yes he has look at the internet

"And is James proud of you?" Lol!
Fabulous!!!
Pick a letter....... 'a'
No.. Not that one 😂🤔
I find this impossible to believe. She didn’t remember that she was a very talented pianist as a child?
Obvious myopia indicates many years of intaking information from a defined distance.
Edit. I thought you were jesting!

She was hypnotized to forget.
the girl is very pretty.

My thoughts exactly.

Here’s your shout out. 😊
