Husqvarna 1982.5 CR500 Silver Streak

The Silver Streak came out in the middle of 1982 season, hence the 82.5 title.
Only 530 bikes were made between April and June 1982. This is frame number 258 of that production run.
This particular bike had been languishing in a barn for some years before it came to our workshop.
We have restored every part we could and the parts beyond repair have been replaced with genuine high quality alternatives.
Tyres are Mitas which took over from the original Trelleborg, rims are 21inch and 17 inch.
The engine was in really good condition but was given a meticulous rebuild needing only a piston, gaskets and seals.
All levers and controls as factory.

Man what a piece of art ,I had the WXC250 black and gold, hand built, back in the day the technician signed a tag that was dangling from the bar's. That bike never broke down.
Was stolen from my shop,broke my heart!
