How long a fretting scale does the neck you installed have? I personally believe that twelve-string guitar necks should use short scales for fretting--certainly shorter scales than those of six-string guitar necks--to reduce the string tension. Otherwise you're gonna risk giving the neck back bow, and jumpin' curveball, is THAT gonna be disastrous.
Did it ever play in tune? I would imagine the method of placing the neck in the position by measuring the distance between the tailpiece studs and end of the neck wouldn't be anywhere near accurate for acceptable intonation unless you were lucky. Interesting project though!
I've heard the phrase filmed with a potato but I think I used the leafy bit you throw away from the spud

It plays in tune well enough for my ability to play it 😁
A good attempt but I personally would not put it public until I got it perfected , it might be embarrassing . 😢
