PAD's X-Factor Investigations would be an amazing omnibus! I would love to get my hands on that. However, I'm still pushing for my X-Treme X-Men omni. (I will continue to request this book until it is on my shelf. Lol)
Too bad those trades don’t have the “Previously in...” pages at the start of each issue. Peter David wrote them presumably and they were hilarious. After a while he just gave up describing plot and started talking about his life like it was a blog. Really funny stuff
X-factor Investigations / Madrox years are my favourite Marvel book for the last 2 decades! Easy!! I love it!!! Omar, I'd also recomend the "Longshot Saves the Marvel Universe" + "Shatterstar by Tim Seeley" (after the Investigations run) My ideal Omnibus contents: X-Factor: Peter David vol1 (Madrox: Multiple Choice + vol. 3, #1-24 + X-Factor Special: Layla Miller One-Shot) X-Factor: Peter David vol2 (#28-50 & 200-219, X-Factor: The Quick and the Dead, She-Hulk #31) X-Factor: Peter David vol3 (#220-262 & 224.1 & story pages from Avengers: The Children’s Crusade #6-9 + Longshot Saves The Marvel Universe + all new x-factor + Shatterstar by Tim Seeley + Multiple Man #1-5 by Matthew Rosenberg (2018) + New Mutans : Dead souls )
@@NearMintCondition Maybe a "Companion volume" with that extra stuff: Longshot Saves The Marvel Universe + all new x-factor + Shatterstar by Tim Seeley + Multiple Man #1-5 by Matthew Rosenberg (2018) + New Mutans : Dead souls. :)
Rahne is, in fact, Scottish Presbyterian and not Catholic. It is significant because the emphasis on predestination and moral rigorism of Scot Presbyterianism contributes to her scrupolosity and sensitivity to sin and shame.
Still haven't got to reading X-factor, I honestly just recently started reading X-men, I was always overwhelmed with the amount of content, but finally started to read it (I have been eyeing the X-men Milestones books to start up on that X-men main events reading) some time ago, any recommendations for X-men Trades/Omnis are appreciated (for starters per se).
I’d definitely pick up an X-Factor omnibus. I’m really looking forward to Peter David’s Xfactor Omnibus coming out this year and the book that will lead into the Mutant Massacre Omnibus. Count me in.
I think the ideal place to start X-factor Omnibus would be X-Factor by David, DeMatteis & Howard Mackie. Before that we have the crossovers and the 1st ones would fit on a UXM Omnibus!
Great video Omar, X-Factor is on my Most Wanted Omnibus List too!!! I’m interested in how would you map the 3 proposed omniboo? - It feels logical to start volume 3 at #229, so where would you end Volume 1 and would you include Son of M? For me, it feels right to include Son of M and end at #24 to go into Messiah Complex, but that leaves too much material between #28 & #228 to squeeze into a Volume 2. Would love to know how you would map
I'd also go with: X-Factor: Peter David vol1 (Madrox: Multiple Choice + vol. 3, #1-24 + X-Factor Special: Layla Miller One-Shot) X-Factor: Peter David vol2 (#28-50 & 200-219, X-Factor: The Quick and the Dead, She-Hulk #31) X-Factor: Peter David vol3 (#220-262 & 224.1 & story pages from Avengers: The Children’s Crusade #6-9 ) + X-Factor: "Companion" (Longshot Saves The Marvel Universe + all new x-factor + Shatterstar by Tim Seeley + Multiple Man #1-5 by Matthew Rosenberg (2018) + New Mutans : Dead souls. :)
Uncanny X-Force spun out from the Second Coming, which was around the X-Factor: Revelations trade but they really exist independently of each other, never crossing over or affecting each other.
Really love the first X-Factor by Peter David but this run was a choir in my opinion I guess cause of the art work just wasn’t feeling it kind of annoyed and distracted me from reading but this run is as ok 3 out 5 for me
Hell yeah! One of my favorite comic runs. I think I read them all digitally then went to collecting single issues and finally the trades and hardcovers. Only need 2-3 more to finish but they are OOP and high priced. Hope the Omni for this series comes out.
I have a lot of thoughts on this volume of X-Factor. I think the Madrox mini-series up through about the first 30 or so issues of the volume are about as good as X-Comics get. Loved every single thing about them. Then it gets to the Secret Invasion crossover arc, and that books is just shockingly bad out of nowhere. The art in particular is just brutal. The book rebounds a little bit but never gets back to it's original heights IMO. What he did with Layla Miller and Jaime is just flat-out gross, you'll never convince me otherwise. By the end it almost felt like he was purposely sabotaging characters, with they way he left them. What he did with Strong Guy and Siryn was just straight up silly, I don't think they ever recovered. In fact I can't think of a book that's used Siryn since. IMO if you can pick up those two complete collections you're set cuz those are fantastic comics from beginning to end. After that, your mileage will vary.
Peter David in X-Factor is Amazing 😉
Thanks Omar ...
Holy moly, I barely log in and immediately find Omar uploading. Fantastic!
bless you I had no idea where to start
I hope this helped.
@@NearMintCondition it did!!!
This whole Peter David run is a masterpiece. It deserves an omnibus but I feel like it will never happen. Sigh. Thanks for these videos, though, Omar.
never happen huh :D
@@Myrmexx I must have missed the announcement. Are we getting one?
@@padrecocinero7700 yeah its on this channel search for x factor in his playlist. The book is up for pre order everywhere.
Really loving that Peter David X-factor run so far. If his Hulk is as good; I’m definitely getting volume 2

Thanks for these Omar! A terrific resource that I will be referring to often in the future.

I loved reading X-Factor, but the Layla/Jamie relationship will never not be a bit weird

Hi Omar. Where does the Avengers Children's Crusade fits in? X-Factor made an appearance and I remember Rictor getting his powers back in that series.

Peter David is the man!
Need omnis! Tried to get into X Factor as a kid but was confused! Lets get an X Factor Vol 1 omni

I think they'll go the route of Volume 3.
Okay then, everyone chant with me:- Omnibus, omnibus, omnibus!
ah, can't hurt to try.

Omar, i wat to get all the six books of locke and key, but i'm struggling deciding between the box set or the compendium, any recommendation?
Might be a stupid question but where does Uncanny X-force by Rick Remender fit in? As always, awesome video and top notch content from you Omar! 🙏
Uncanny X-Force spun out from the Second Coming, which was around the X-Factor: Revelations trade but they really exist independently of each other, never crossing over or affecting each other.
Oh no. That's a lot of small trades. I'll wait for omniboo. [smug anime girl.gif]

Question if I join the fan club do I get old note/reading order
The older notes are being uploaded. As I’m updating them since doing them :)
Ey guys loving every Madrox comics, what’s the latest on him?
He’s on Krakoa but not in any of the big books currently.
@@NearMintCondition yeah I read the xcorp series (5 books), hopefully he gets something big soon, thanks sir👌🏼
X factor vol 3 needs more live from marvel
Yes it does.
Great

Where's part 1?

I find those women on the team entirely too attractive. Monet must be going into the MCU soon. Played by Annet Mahendru.
Why are these comments 9 months old?
lol the video came out last year :)
