I'm so glad so many people found this helpful. I'm no expert on audio engineering and apologies to those who didn't find it helpful. Since I posted this 2 years ago, there have been many other videos posted that could be more reliable but here's a video on the how and why I created this for myself: th-cam.com/video/aM9o3f2HJes/w-d-xo.html
A word of caution as Dr Andrew Huberman himself has said. This frequency works best before study or work and for only 20 minutes at a time. Listening to this for an hour without variation will give you a headache and make you irritable. He has also recommended 90 minutes of cognitive work and then a 10-20 minute break (that is another good time to listen to this). Im writing this while listening with headphones but I would not write an essay while listening its just too intense and does not vary. Other videos will vary but 40 hz pure is static. The variance is closer to what our brains do naturally. Just a thought.
I'm listening to 40hz for 2 hours at a time while working -- every day. And I'm super fine. I'm not disagreeing with your general comment but it might not generalize to everyone (not to me at least).
To everyone reading this...I'm sending you positive vibes, good luck charms, and all the best wishes for your exams. May you ace every question, achieve remarkable results, and pave the way for a future filled with success and fulfillment.
1. **Before Work:** You might try listening to binaural beats for about 30 minutes while doing something else, then take a break, like eating lunch or taking a walk, before diving into your work. This is because it takes some time for your brain to shift into a state optimized for work. 2. **During Work:** If you're feeling particularly distractable, you might keep the 40 Hertz binaural beats on the entire time you're doing cognitive work. This can help increase your focus and concentration. 3. **Before a Workout:** I've found that using 40 Hertz binaural beats prior to a workout, particularly weight workouts, can help me focus on and contract specific muscles. Remember, it's not necessary to use binaural beats every time you're doing a bout of work. I recommend using them as a tool to enhance focus when needed.
im not sure about how powerful this is...but just after listening this once i did workout after a year, then conquered my fear that i couldn't imagine and
Thought this was a trick , i increased the volume and still couldnt hear anything , then suddenly, i could feel it. I had a project due today , that ive been lagging for weeks . The video is almost over and i just finished the project. ThanK YOU
thanks🙌. I used this while solving a complex problem. I didn't know my mind was like a crazy power tool. It used to be too energetic to be handled and was only used only on short bursts, now its tamed and I feel like I can finally harness it. I didn't know I missed feeling this calm. I had no expectation for this binaural beat to work so fine.
Really powerfull, it has been now two times, that during my sleep, my thoughts were overthinking, (or thoughts repeating itself) , and after listening a couple minutes to this, I could sleep again without overthinking!
thanks dion! i am a big fan of #hubermanlab. i looked at your home page. i'm from canada originally. l lived in vancouver & my family lived in victoria . noticed your whale watching & whistler videos. .
Listening to this for longer than 10 Minutes is possible. It always depends on the Person itself. You can become anxious and more if you are not used to it. It always matters on you. In my experience, everything over 30 Minutes can be very stressfull- Dr. Hubermann explains this in his Podcast about Binaural Beats.
Hi, I am Korean(South) and this video is really helpful! first time, I didn't believe the effectiveness of this sound. But now I do feel my concentration is improving!! Quick question : how did you made this frequency sound? I want to know specific process of making it (what program did you use, and so on) I really appreciate your video! thanks
Someone said to double the playback speed for "double productivity", don't do it, it'll change the frequencies & there'll be no point in listening to this. If he knew about hertz & frequencies he wouldn't tell us to change the settings!
🔥🔥🔥🤝Was in the recommended feed of a hypnosis channel I just went to for memory empowerment, that I then subbed to. I'm a big Andrew Huberman fan! Thanks!
Hello 🙏 What hertz is the carrier please? I need to study & obviously retain what I learn, so I've been using 40hz binaural beats. 40 hz stimulates the mind while relaxing the body & that's my problem. When my body's relaxed my mind becomes relaxed too, lol, so I'm looking for 40 hz with 120 hz as the carrier
Always be carefull about the sound frequencies, I am a very very very sceptical person, but one time hearing a sound that supposed to help about the tinitus, I start to feeling to confused and was near to vomit, and I really shocked me how a sound can cause that.
Just so you know, The brain cannot comprehend binaural beats past 26Hz, so to get into Gamma at 40Hz, you need to listen to monaural beats, which is incredibly difficult to do. There are channels on YT that "sugarcoat" the frequency with piano music.
No, don't do that as it'll alter how it's meant to be. If you want to change it you shouldn't be here, you should look for other hertz/frequencies meditation that will have the setting you obviously want
@@oceanmedi2826 no, don't thank him, it changes the frequency. If he knew about binaural beats, hertz & frequencies he wouldn't be telling people what to do
I have tinnitus and just listened to it for less than 5 minutes. It gave me a headache and my tinnitus seems 10 times worse. I don't know if I would recommend.

Does working/studying while listening to this have negative side effects or dilute the positive effects?
Also, he said that's the normal case, in times of feeling harder to transition into full focus mode he will extend through the whole period of study
Yes, this comment is true.
I have suffer from several mental diseases by listening to this and work way too long lmao.
I'm listening to 40hz for 2 hours at a time while working -- every day. And I'm super fine. I'm not disagreeing with your general comment but it might not generalize to everyone (not to me at least).
Thanks for the FYI. I was wondering why I would get anxious after listening for four hours straight lol
Guys remember, you came here to focus. Not to scroll comments.
Get back to work! 👍

GOAT comment.
I turned this on and spent the next two hours jacking off.
Thanks, Dad.
thanks for reminding, we`re just aware if it hit side effects, were just caution

is it ok if I do nothing while listening to it for 20 minutes before work or study
Do whatever you want brother @@MMadMan-v4j
That's a great take, I wonder if using them too much might cause the brain to sort of get used to it and then stop enhancing our focus.

last time i used the 40 hz method i slept like crazy, but this one's legit. Made my brain go rapid
Thanks for posting. It's often hard to find good gamma beats without music at a comfortable low tone. This is a good one.
