There were so many cool anime mech games in that era. It's great to find one of them translated. While seeking this one out, I also discovered Black Magic, which is based on a manga by Shirow Masamune, of GitS fame.
I didn't know about Black Magic but I definitely need to check that out. Apparently Black Magic has the same people behind it as does CRW, Wiz, which is why those games are so similar looking.
This game leads me to think the PC-98 would be a good candidate for Windows / Linux recompilation, similar to N64 recompilation, simply because it could do with some basic fixes that would be possible with modding but not emulation.
A part of me would really love a remake of this game, the problem is that with the plague known as the "modern audience", the game will be watered down as much as posible for the sake of pleasing the woke tourists.
If that game was released today half youtube would be screaming "kEep pOliTics oUt oF oUR gAmEs!". It looks like a very cool Front Mission alternative (it even came out a few month before Front Mission apparently). Did you play on a emulator or real hardware? I wonder if the bug you encountered was from the patch or the emulator. I saw that there is a Playstation port and also a sequel.
Emulator. Who the fuck in the US actually owns a PC-98? And yeah, there's is a port and sequel but as far as I know this is the only one playable in English.
Looks allmost like the first Front Mission🧐

oh boy, the "this is one of the few PC-98 things i can get in english and the art style is baller" game!
Aged like fine wine both for the waifus and bots😊
Cool video! I always wondered about this game.
Looks like a cool game! Love finding weird old games like this haha.

this game looks so badass and your channel is epic. superb taste my friend ty for this heads up on this kind of crap
Im sorry what was that about Jehuty?
You should play Front Mission 5 (also needs a translation patch) for your ultimate JP mech strategy fix
It just like major always say.
Bro dug up this one from idek where
Check out Metal Marines
Literally using my discord lane Avatar...guess I'm required to sub.
I use the Lain bear PJ's for mine. Yeag. required sub.
this looks like a Power DoLLS clone
Power DoLLS is turn-based though, this one is real-time.
Also in dolls you get to use more than mechs

Dry your tears and stop being a baby.
For the algorithm.

@@TheKeysmash if i may ask, what emulator did you use?
@@samuelmendoza9356 Neko Project 2. I think there's a couple versions of it, the one I specifically use is labeled np21nt.
It's funny cause front mission alternative is actually the name of the real time strategy spin off game on the ps1
It's absolutely NOT this kind of politics people are complaining about...
No one complained about politics in Metal Gear either.
