  • Join me as I interview Great Grandmaster Leung Ting, founder of Leung Ting Wing Tsun Kung Fu. Leung Ting is a direct student of the late grand master Yip Man, who was the teacher of Bruce Lee. He has amassed an amazing amount of students worldwide, with over 500,000 students in over 20 countries. He is also the head of the International Wing Tsun Association, and even though he's retired, he still teaches seminars around the world at 76 years of age. His fighting skills are legendary, and he's been praised by martial artists all over the world for his phenomenal fighting skills.

    a really great interview. I love how he couldn't get a straight answer from Yip Man until he made him argue!

    My God, the wooden dummy has 15 kicks? Sir are you able to confirm if Mr Leung Ting didn't misspeak? If this is true...I had a feeling he withheld some details till late in his career the way Yipman himself hid the last 5 kicks?

      He has told me multiple times that there are secret kicks in the dummy form that Yip Man told him never to show anyone.

      Seems that it hasn't changed much since I first met him in 1980. I guess it's good enough for him to communicate with anybody around the world who speaks English a second language. I remember he actually had quite a large vocabulary, but never really developed a sense for the idiomatic English of native speakers.
