These are some things to consider when preparing your NCOER. Do these things now, and people evaluating you later will know exactly the type of worker you are.
Point well taken, i definitely have been the guy grinding and working hard and my NCOER was not as good as what i actually did but thanks for the tips. IM gonna start writing my own and have my rater, review it, never again will i let myself get another mediocre NCOER.
My promotion ceremony to SGT is in 2 days and I'm searching everywhere for tips on how to have a great NCOER. Thanks for the tips! Any other advice out there?
Great information. Too many Soldiers expect a great above average NCOER just for showing up. On the other side, there are too many leaders who write average NCOERs for their outstanding Soldiers and that Soldier does not stand up for themself. We need more leaders who stand up for their Soldiers on paper and we need more Soldiers who stand up for themselves. I have received and written many NCOERs. Leaders need to understand your 5 tips so they can better assist their subordinates on what is required and how to be successful. No one but you will look out for your own career.
Does the rated individual do the support form in EES, and then that is used by the rater/senior rater to do the actual NCOER? It's been awhile since I've been versed in the process.
